The people acting together have increased their chance of being convicted of conspiracy which will increase the charge to a second degree felony from a third etc.

While I am glad this has finally happened, it is sad that 1) It took so long and 2) Bell had to prove his innocence in the attack.

Let's work so that this can be avoided in the future.

I'm glad to see this turn of events. It looks like some justice is being served. But what took so long? Perhaps those charged with crimes will learn some tolerance for homosexuals where they are going. I hear prison can be rough.

It's about time District Attorney's Office, there should have not been any question about what happened and this should have been resolved long ago. Hopefully, these bullies will get what they deserve.

How about some repercussions to the D.A.'s office and the SSL police for botching everything so badly?

THIS is why violence is bad! If the family really thought Bell took his children, I could MAYBE understand their actions.
However, if they had taken 20 mins to ask questions or cool off this whole thing could have been avoided.

Bell, charges July '08. Defended himself in court in a trail the jury called a 'waste of resources' and found not guilty.

March '10. Charges against his attackers.

I hope they all get the maximum sentence and hope that the two guys sue all them for everything they are worth.

Must be election time and fingers are in the wind to determine which cases the public wants prosecuted! You really don't think this has the slightest thing to do with justice? It's all about politics.

I am in full support of punishing the REAL criminals in this case! It's about time.

Please remind us of the name of the district attorney who decided to file the bogus charges against Bell. We would like to vote him/her out of office.

The DA in this case is Lorha Miller.

I think the lead investigator is Darrin Carr.

I would be asking him why he messed up this case so badly.

July ’08 Bell assualted and charged with child kidnapping.

Sept ’09 Bell found not guilty.

March ’10 Charges against Bell’s attackers.

Perverision wins out again.

It appears this is another situation where alchohol & drugs have the power to overcome all levels of peace and accomodation.
