I drove past this crash. It was terrible. My condolences to the family of this man.

Sad.

That must have been one big impact with speed involved. I'm amazed the driver of the small car lived initially after being hit by a 1/2 ton pick-up.

Sad

I heard about this crash on the news on my way to work. I'm so sorry to hear this. It was close to home. Like anonymous--there must have been speed involved--by the truck or else maybe the 52-year old man had a preexisting medical condition. WOW! And they were my age! Scarey!

tired of red light runners

How long before our local politicians will crack down on red light runners? I talked to a local mayor a few years back and was told they are afraid to put up cameras to "catch" the offenders. In this valley, GREEN means GO, YELLOW means GO FASTER, and RED means THE NEXT 3,4 OR 5 CARS CAN GO TOO. My daughter and her family were T boned by a truck that ran a red light and we were lucky that all were just a little banged up. For all of you that whine that a camera is an intrusion of pricacy, obey the law and it won't be a problem. I'd be the first to sign a petition to get cameras that would ticket offenders. Too many are getting hurt and killed by a selfish few that don't think red lights apply to them.

im betting that the pick-up truck might of been on the cell phone? i also had a relative and her 2 children die from a cell phone user, kids were 4 and 7 mother 34 husband left alone they were married for 13+ years cant imagine his loss, but we need to pass the law and ban talk and text on phones while driving please help the cause out put on your vehicles BAN TALK N TEXT WHILE DRIVING or else the nest one might be your family member

This man who died was the brother of my friend and co-worker. I cannot even imagine the loss this family feels at this time. My heart aches for them. I pray they will be able to find some comfort and solace at this time of sorrow.

Roy will be greatly missed. He has worked with special education students for years and was respected and loved. He was a unique and wonderful man. What a loss!

The man who died was my older brother. He had no pre-existing medical condition, as one person posted. He died from severe injuries related to being hit by someone who was careless and negligent. No words can express the immense sorrow we feel at his loss. I hope other people will learn to appreciate life, and its shortness.
