Did Preston, Idaho get its name from Preston, England?
It was most likely named after Preston, England. It started out in 1866 with the name Worm Creek (warm, but spoken with a drawl) and later received its present day name.
Nice little town.
Why did the Mormons build the Preston Temple miles away in a different borough, Chorley ? I know the area of Preston the Mormons had a church in, Ribbleton, is now largely populated by Muslim and West Indian Families but it feels like they picked Chorley because it was more prestigious and "less diverse" for want of a better phrase
