Mr. Bennett, your sudden interest in Utah is too little, too late, and very opportunistic. Just because you located the phone number of the Deseret News, you think you can posture on our behalf?
With any luck, you'll lose in the primary, and spare us a couple of months of these press releases.
We won't accept another senator who ignores us for five years, then shows up a few months for re-election.

Impeach Obama from office for gross negligence!

The handling of lands in the west is about the only thing that the current administration is doing right.

Craig

Why isn't Bennett being proactive rather than reactive?
He just seems to be whining about everything and doing nothing to get things done. He should have been more on top of things if it was important to Utah, not just reacting when the auction is done.

Anonymous @ 11:16 a.m.: If you made your livelihood in the Uintah Basin, Utah's #1 oil and gas producing area, you would feel just the opposite. Due to the land policies of "the Obamination," unemployment has skyrocketed in my county from 2.9% to 7.4% according to Workforce Services. This has had a serious and negative ripple effect on the economy. If you consume products made from oil, use gasoline in your vehicle(s) or use natural gas to heat your home, you should be more concerned about these policies and how they will untimately impact your budget.

UT politicians....

... appear to have exceptional skills for "blasting" people. Do they actually contribute to improving life for their constituents? Are they truly the voice of the people of UT?

wallofvoodoo

Bennett would complain if Obama said that Mother Theresa was a good person. Is this really news?

How is this "Hope and change" going for you???

Spanish Fork

This president is going to all the damage he can do to this country, as fast as he can, and with very little thought or consideration for the people of this country and to the reality that HE IS OUR EMPLOYEE!! IF he were directly my employee, I wouldn't hesitate to fire him and the sooner the better before his destructive agenda goes any further.

UT politicians.... | 11:49 a.m.
They don't speak for me. I view them purely as entertainment.

ABBO 2012

Anonymous | 11:16 a.m. is obviously from the east coast. Go on then, if BO is so right, stop using anything petroleum based. We can either drill it here or buy it from meglomaniacs who hate us.

wallofvoodoo, lies breed distrust.

Ernest

Their entertainment value ran out a long, long time ago.

nice try

too little too late is exactly right. bailout bob is through and no conservative push during an election year will help.

Obama says "who needs energy?" Not us.

Slash the BLM Budget

So if the BLM is doing nothing but "preserving" our public lands, they obviously don't need much of a budget just to do nothting with the land. Slash the budget of the BLM, roll them into another agency, and get rid of Salazar et al. Then we will all be happy. The land sits and doesn't generate ANY jobs, beaurocratic or resource based, and our children can "enjoy" the barron lands since they won't have jobs or an education funded from the royalties.

Bobby come lately

Naturally Bennett is infuriated! He's up for election this year! Can we please find someone who will represent us for more than a couple months every 6 years?

Anonymous

We liberals do not want more damage to the environment due to the lust for more destructive fossil fuels. We want more alternative energies and nuclear power. Invest in electric cars and power plants that support the technology.

Utah Dem

Oh I get it, Bennett just remembered he is up for re-election. Please vote for anyone else but Bennett. Do some research on Christopher Stout or Mike Lee.

Put a...

...big fat cork in it, Bob Bennett. How old is he, anyway, like 150?

David Montgomery

In a sense forget the politician and look at the picture. The land and it's resources are there for our use. Use it wisely, obtaining the natural gas and oil as well as using other sources for energy. Nuclear power plants are good, but they do not produce the oil based products we so commonly use. If the so called environmentalists won't wear fur or leather, that means they wear oil based products. We have the resources to become more independent rather depending on outside resources. We just need to do some good management, plus give our population their jobs back and move forward.
