Why would anyone want to risk their life just for a chance at a medal?? Too many deaths and injuries in any sport - especially the young.
What about NASCAR? Or Football? No deaths or injuries there I guess.
"Stupid fast" makes no sense. Something can be stupid or fast but not both.
I think she is referring to both the spped and the danger of the track. Kinda like driving your Ferrari 200MPH into a brick wall. That would be "stupid fast."
No injuries or deaths in Nascar or Football? what games or races are you watching? Dale Enhardart Sr. several years ago, football has too many injuries to name. For sure, exhilirating sports to watch, physically demanding to participate, and risks and dangers to both participants and spectators. bobsled, luge, and skeleton are just the same (but with an extremely minimal amount of protection to bodily injury)Nascar may go 150 mph but atleast they have 3000 or more pounds of material between them and the wall to lessen the impact.
