Good going Mark - wish that there were more like you, your wife and your best friend. One of the hardest things for the disabled is the reality that
they no longer can do the things that formerly brought them so much pleasure.
I don't think many people have ever given this any thought. But it's logical that these people would enjoy some outdoor activities and feel more independent and accepted as they are. Most everything we see are indoor sports and solid flooring for those wheel chair bound. Being out like that must be a real morale booster for them, I know how much I like the outdoors and being away from the city.
This story is a real inspiration to help our fellow americans and think of ways to incorporate other out door activities for them to join in.
First of all--the term should be "people with disabilities" NOT "disabled people".
Second--a lot of "thought" has been put into such things. Certainly Mark helps push limits. But, look up SPLORE for me on-line. There are many means and ways to get "those people" (whom should be "all of us" not "those people" like people in wheelchairs are some weird group of people or something) in the out of doors. Do me a favor Lee and your comment writers--watch the Paralympics all the way through this year. You'd be MORE than amazed.
There, does that help all you "inspired" people out?
Your one blessed guy. When I ended up in a chair, all my hunting friends more less said Adios old huntin partner, or found some excuse to leave me behind.
O well I try my best with others.
way to go bro! You have put joy on many faces. love ya!
Any time we spend helping someone out, whether a person with a disability, or a friend in need, is time well spent. We know the help comes from your heart because you have done this for so long. We also know quite a few people enjoy hunting with you because you've taken so many. Continue doing what you enjoy because you are obviously spreading joy.
good job dad!! you putting a smile on everybodys face makes me proud!!
great article and great cause. you have come a long way mark.
Mark, I am unbelievably proud of you!!
the work you three are doing is a great benefit for people with disabilities. I know you have an angel in heaven that is busting her buttons! Love Aunt Bobby
