One more in the win column and now time to prepare for a tough finishing stretch--SDSU and New Mexico at home next week, and then Utah on the road.

Great win by the Cougs. Poor showing by the Lobos. Three-point win at home over Air Force. Weak!

San Diego State will be a tougher test for the Cougs this week but the Utes loom.

Just a thought - If BYU wins out, they're looking at the No. 1 seed, which means a second round matchup against the home team in the Las Vegas Invite. And we know the Cougs match up terribly against the Rebels. Maybe a loss to the Utes wouldn't be so bad - if it means another team plays the Rebels in the second round. I'll never pull for a loss, but it's just something to think about.

It was a good win, but byu is still WAY overrated. There's not a snowball's chance down south they'll win out. I could see them losing the last 3.

I still think utah has just as good of a chance as getting a march madness win as byu. We are peaking and with a little luck could win the mwc tournament and sneak in as a #9 seed. Either way cougar fans -dont book your march madness hotel past thursday

#9 seed. They may get into the tournament but anything over a 13 seed would be a miracle. Utah is below .500. Isn't the ute rpi like 180 or something. You should focus your comments on the past, remember how awsome Majerus was? And those 2 bcs wins? Utah at 9, that is some positive thinking.

Even if BYU lost the last three, and Utah won the last 3 that would still mean Utah would be one game above .500, and if you think that would equate to a #9 seed based on past tourney appearances think again. BYU is at home 19 straight wins, last loss - UNLV by six on the home floor. I look forward to all the remaining games and will really enjoy this team. Not much to say for the UTES though.

Good win by the Cougars in Laramie. Glad to see Haws come out strong and show his strength in the team. Fredette had his usual good game and JT came off the bench with quality minutes and point contribution.

Now, get ready for next week. SDSU and UNM at home. This week will make the differnce of who wins the conference championship.

To Utah Man: You would never see BYU win any game under any circumstance. When you see through red glasses, you only see red and optimistic red at that. A #9 seed? Really? They will be lucky to get in and if they do it will be a #16 seed and in the far east. Please spend your time on your Utah articles.

I'm as big of a byu fan as any, but unfortunately I still see at least 2-3 more losses including the mwc tournament and another #9 seed

Cougs need to prepare well for a very good SDSU team. They are very good athletes and need a win very badly.

Haws is starting to get a little confidence back. I hope his shot becomes more comfortable for him. Good to see JT play well.

Hitting the boards and defense will be key this coming week.

I see BYU beating SDSU and UNM next week and having a poor game at Utah. I hope not, but to win the next three will be tough. I think post play and a poor shooting night will give Utah the win.

Good Win Cougars...Haws, Fredette and Tavernari all had great games. Its good to see them shooting well and playing well headed into the final stretch of games. Big week ahead with SDSU and New Mexico, both are at home so I like the Cougars chances of winning both. At worst I think the Cougars lose 1 of their remaining 4 games and finish tied with New Mexico for the conference championship.

watched the ute game tonight against SDSU and was saddened to see how poorly the utes play. They not only had a bunch of turnovers, but they were stupid ones, not due to SDSU pressure or high octane D. I really think the PAC10 needs a new doormat and the Utes are lining up nicely to serve that role.

The Cougars were steady tonight and obviously had their minds on the SDSU game Wednesday. The score, really, should have been 18-0 to start the game, not 10-0 and half-time should have been 54/55 to 28 instead of 40 to 28. It is sad that UNM/UNLV/SDSU and BYU have to play pathetic teams like Utah. I'm sure that will hurt the Cougars seeding like maybe drop them to a 4/5 instead of the deserved 3. Thanks runnin utes for draggin down everyone elses RPI.

Question for Utah man. Your old coach used to say that it was difficult to beat a team three consecutive times in a season. Would you prefer to play UNLV or SDSU in the first round in Vegas? It looks like Utah will be facing one of those two teams.

The Cougars are at their best pace ever and I see them being awarded a 5 or 6 seed if they loose two games upcoming, but a 3 or 4 seed if they keep winning. This will be huge when combined with how well they are playing at this time of year.

I think they will maintain focus and composure for the next three games and then coast a little at TCU. Come MWC Tournament they will be in the championship game. I hope Utah can mend their slide and get back in there to face the Cougars.

Funny, I watched the Lobo's play the AFA and as your coach admitted, your lobos were LUCKY to pull out the win. AFA outplayed your team in the PIT and should've won it. How sweet it would have been for the AFA to win one in the pit.
