Luck has nothing to do with it, the best teams always win close games

Congrats to Alta on a great season. Alta won that game because they get all of there players involved. Brighton continues to struggle by taking too many outside shots and not distributing the ball. The Bengals would be a much more
successful team if they would get away from their featured "star" system, and play unselfish ball. I wish the paper would list each players field goal ATTEMPTS, it would give the fan a much more accurate depiction of the game, and more importantly make selfish players more accountable.

Congratulations Alta. Going in I thought Brighton was the better team but you proved me wrong.

A very good game! Alta was able to get it done. We traveled from California to see the game. Well worth the trip. The free throws made in the fourth quarter iced the game. Coach Barker and staff are to be congratulated. Would love to see them win the state title!!

How soon you forget, these teams split this year, each winning on there home court. Next meeting will be the best game yet, and determine the better team as it will be at a neutral site.

Good game last night. Both teams are good and Alta played a little better last night. Both teams won on their home floor, which is what you're supposed to do. Alta got their home floor for the region championship, and they pulled it off. Congratulations. As far as whose better, that will have to be determined later on in the playoffs perhaps. When two teams split during the regular season, you just can't announce whose better. I personally hope that they get an opportunity to play again at a neutral site. As far as team play is concerned, Alta definately has the edge. They move the ball a lot more than Brighton and really play as a team. Brighton depends way too much on Corbin Miller. He either shoots Brighton in or out of games. When he is shooting Brighton out of games, the coach refuses to sit him. That is going to come back to haunt Brighton in the playoffs. Brighton has more depth than they ever have had in the past, and the "Stars" need to trust their teammates. Good luck at state. Congrats Alta...well done

Better team holds the region 4 title. Sure, we'll all be excited about neutral floors at the state tournament. As for a 12 game season in the toughest region, Alta is #1. The trophy will have Alta Hawks on it. Congrats to Coach Barker and staff and team!

Great game with a raucous crowd. After seeing Alta play at Jordan and this game, I have to say that the Alta coaches get it done with "D" and team hustle. Barker and his staff do not seem to tolerate any lack of energy. They seem to know how to win close games.

For all naysayers, Alta deserves this region title because they had a better region record. So to say they went 1-1 against each other is true but Alta pulled through a game that Brighton did not.

I want to give a lot of credit to Jake Baum for his aggressive defense guarding Corbin Miller. I believe he scored 26 points against Alta in their first encounter and it was crucial to this game to stop him from scoring. So props to him.

As I have said all year, Alta has been able to go from good to great by playing more and more as a team. It took time to establish chemistry but I do believe they are peaking at a good time.

I think the proper mix of authority, diplomacy, and tact between Coach Barker and Cannon has really helped this team be aggressive on defense and relaxed on offense. Great job Hawks!

great job Hawks, football and basketball Region 4 titles are impressive. Teams that can consistently win close games win in the tourney, so Alta has that going for them definitely.

I heard that Coach Barker learned everything he knows from playing ball with his five older brothers! Great job!

Congratulations Alta. You were the better team Friday. Brighton just had no chemistry! They beat themselves. They have so much talent, but just don't play TEAM ball. The only game that I have seen them play well was against Jordan 2 weeks ago.
