live your life
to the full wings
above the ski slope
with many more years~
That's my old man! Proud to be his son and I love skiing with him. He taught me how to ski when I was four! Thanks for writing this article!
Very Cool Jayson Thanks for Sharing this artical... Tell your Dad I say hello.
Best-
A.
What a great story Jim, and I can hear you speaking in my mind so clearly. The quotes are really "you".
Have a wonderful Birthday.
How fantastic and fun to see this article on our dear old (but not really old, of course!) friend! I have such fond memories of our families' adventures, skiing and otherwise. Best to you on your big day, and lots of love!
Happy Birthday. What a great article!
Happy Birthday buddy. I feel privialged to be part of your ski fraternity ! Enjoy your B-Day and many more to come !
Rodney, it's time someone wrote the story of your greatness. You did deserve a place at the Olympics, but Bob B. was there to stop you. Enyoy your
Birthday by visiting the Desert.
Thanks to Flatfoot G. I was able to read the article.
I'm very lucky to be part of the Gaddis Ski Group.
You are an inspiration both on and off the slopes.

It is hard for someone now to know what a legend Jim Gaddis was in the error he skied. And through it all he was gracious and very much a gentleman. I applaud the Deseret News for their recognition of Jim. Happy Birthday Jim.
What a nice article. Now I know why you won't ski with me.
Happy you remembered skiing and building jumps at the Country Club with me, of course, as well as Ted Wilson and Clark and Dave Parkinson. Too bad it took until you were about l6 to beat me at skiing or golf. Happy Birthday
Great story big bro....keep practicing, you could become an accomplished skier
I love the article. Great photos, especially the vintage pics. Looks like your form today is as good as ever.
I watched Gaddis win the national championship at Solitude while skiing for the University of Utah and was a member of his certification board for the Intermountain Ski Instructors Association, (now PSIA)back when. Keep it up Jim!
Jim Gaddis is always the most beautiful skier on the mountain. He has an elegance to his style which is surprisingly kept in tact at fearless and ferocious speeds. Off the mountain, he is generous, giving and seeks no recognition. I am happy for him to be remembered for his success and accomplishments in the history of skiing in Utah. I am so proud to call Jim Gaddis my uncle!
What a great article. I am a good friends with Terese and also have the passion to ski. I hope I am skiing when I am your age. Thanks for the great story and inspiration. I would love to ski with you someday.
