When he willy nilly chose Sarah he kissed off any chance of being called sane. Now he wants help because a nuttier person is running against him.

No, as a gop'r I refuse to help my idiot wing of my party. This isn't a sophomore slide co-chairman election. This is serious business and we of the gop have got to get back to reality and elected broad minded, intelligent, well read leaders.

Arizona's race is between egos, not leaders.

If McCain goes down it will be because he chose to join GOP obstructionism over bipartisanship, causing Washington to stall in moving the country forward. He has nothing to show for his efforts except a stunning lack of leadership.

good

I hope this progressive is stopped. We need true conservatives not RINOs in the RNC. If this happens, then we will be able to destroy the DNC in every election. Enough spending. Enough one party rule.

You don't want a "true conservative" -- you want one of the radical far-right-authoritarian extremists who hijacked and perverted the conservative brand in the 1990s. According to them (and, most likely, you), Barry Goldwater -- "Mr. Conservative", and the man who defined conservatism and started the conservative movement -- would be considered "not a true consergative" because he does not support their radical viewpoint.

McCain is closer to being a true conservative than the those running against him. I didn't support him in the 2008 election because of questions about his actions while a POW, but I would support him in this election . . . not because I like him and not because I agree with him, but because he's better than the alaternative.

Thinkin' Man

Throw the bum out! He and Bush are the poster boys for ineffective lip-service conservatism. His combination of fiscal liberal and social conservative isn't appealing to anybody.

@Anonymous

Few people, including apparently you, know our two party system is structured as an antagonistic system. The founding fathers wanted government to be in an intra-party conflict mode except for true emergencies. That way, they'd be too busy fussing with each other and leave the people and our private enterprise system, alone. In emergencies they could be bipartisian and pass legislation "for the good of the people".

Partisanship is not always such a bad thing. Besides, before the Mass. election, and since 2006 the dems had majorities in both houses...and could have done anything they wanted without republican obstruction.

Surely you are aware of that fact! Put down that glass of Kool-aid!

I do agree McCain, besides being a tremendous patriot, perhaps one of the greatest living true patriots, is a bit too progressive. He too is a Washington insider. I'd sure not call him a conservative, perhaps a RINO, but selecting Palin as running mate did not cause him to lose the election - Obama's broken promises accepted by gullible voters did that.

Term limits for all politicans - local, state and national. That way true uncompromising obstructionists like Reid and Pelosi are neutralized.

Push out all moderation in the GOP by appealing to a smaller extremist population and you will win? I'm a liberal. Keep on, keeping on!

smaller extremist.....

population...don't look now but you're swimming against the much stronger current...you'll find that out in November.

If you are a liberal you should be happy as a lark! Got any ideas why some blue dog dems and a majority of independents have bailed out on Obama Reid & Pelosi?

Could it be their policies are unpopular?

The logical balance for too much of something is too much of something else. You'll see that in November too.

Amateur hour is on the wane...the adults will soon take over.

Tim

McCain had his chance for decades now. Enough!

Yes Thinkin Man

Thinkin Man said it perfectly. McCain in addition to being a RINO like Sen. Bennett of Utah, a lot of Republicans as well as Democrats need to voted out in November. We already have term limits in the Constitution every 2, 4, or six years. It is time for the voters to wake up and term limit any republican or democrats that need it.

Rock Climber

McCain needs to go home and rest he is too old and doesn't care about people in Arizona, if you ask me he ran for president just do Obamha would be sure to win.

If McCain cared about the people in Az the people from Mohave County (Mohave Downwinders) would be getting compensation from the Nevada test sites that infected them and thier familys. He has done nothing.

The deal is more people have died from Mohave County then any of the other areas. We need help.
I have cancer my mother aunt and uncle all dies of cancer cause by the tests.

It no only effects me but all my children and grandchildren.

GO HOME AND REST John McCain you are ussless!
