I've been always impressed for such an organization and willingness to help others with lots of care and love. They are most of the time (if not the first ones) to relief all people around the world especially when natural disasters occur.
Angelina Jolie gave $1 million by herself.
Awesome!
Christian love for their fellow men.
Nice job.
The Catholic Church has directly provided over $75 million to the Haitian people
And how much did you give?
My very small branch (about 8 active families) gave well over a thousand.
Well there are more Catholics. Of course the amount will be higher. This is true of people from every faith but people don't give all their support through their faith group. Many give individually to Food for the Poor, Red Cross, etc...
It is nice to see a reporting of the efforts and a reminder than most organizations do not act alone. Lots of cooperation going on.
Well Done!
Its wonderful to belong to the most generous country on the face of the earth when it comes to helping people in distress Way to go America we are so proud of you Especially the Churches
There are 40 million Catholics in the US alone and I am glad to hear they are helping with large dollar amounts. The LDS Church is doing what it can with a smaller number of members. When everybody helps the impact is tremendous.
sorry. the mormons are the most generous of the faiths. It is a statistical fact. look it up.
It's not a contest. Every dollar means help is getting to people who desperately need it. I'm glad people are being generous.
"And how much did you give?"
To some of us, its self glorification to tell what we give. You must choice the right. Giving shouldn't be reduced to a contest to see what runs up the highest number.
I don't think this is a competition. It takes us all helping. Regardless of how much we give, everybody is needed and aprreciated. Thanks to all!

Is it a competition?
China gave $5 million.
What impresses me the most is that, many of the poorest Americans have donated to this relief effort!
Certainly, millions of people have made significant sacrifices to help others, and they will go unnamed and unnoticed. They may only give $5, but it is not the amount that matters, but the selflessness.
Thanks to all who have given!
I appreciate the Church making known what has been given to the aid. All of these funds are really the result of member's donations, whether money or labor. When you contribute, you like to know that it is getting to the people that need it. I would be dissappointed if the Church did not release such information. I expect other organizations should do the same, and they do.
Does it really matter the $ amount given? It is simply the fact that money, help, and aid are being given by countless people who see a need. Stop keeping tabs and give till it hurts.
Normally the church doesn't put a number on amounts donated. This seems to be rare. Do others agree?
I know, let's point fingers at the amount the LDS church has given, and compare that to other people and organizations. That will make us feel so much better about celebrities, athletes and other organizations.
