If releasing the records means Mr. Killpack cannot receive a fair trial, then how can anyone else? he is not above the law, he is not "special" - he is a citizen who was arrested. Keeping our justice system transparent and open prevents abuse and tyranny. And that is more important than Mr. Killpack's desire for privacy.

Dead story...leave it alone.

Why still trying to make something out of this. Killpack admitted fault, step down when he broke public trust and has never tried to justify his actions. It's not like the prosecutors are going to have a hard time with this.

I wish all politicians would act the same way when breaking public trust.

why can't the media just leave things alone. his life and career is already in the toilet and the media wants to pull the handle.

Pete

Enough already. Isn't there anything new to report on? Get a life!

Wow

No story? Are you crazy? Killpack was one of the most powerful man in the state. He was driving drunk with a known criminal and disgraced former legislature Walker who all happens to be a lobbyist. The ethics investigation from the Hill was closed and no transcripts are released. Shurtleff tried to seal the dash cam and all the paperwork. Stick you head in the sand if you wish, I for one am going to follow this story to the end.

Killpack was happy about the attention when he was running for office, no one made him do it. He put himself in the public's eye. He plead not guilty so he hasn't taken responsibility for his actions. He hasn't come out and said what he and all the lobbyists were talking about at the bar? He hasn't disclosed any deals that were made while they were drinking. These are just a few of the question the media needs to dig out as no one is talking. I hope the D-news keeps digging until every aspect of this sorry and sordid affair is known. He held a position of trust and spent our tax dollars.

"Killpack admitted fault, step down when he broke public trust and has never tried to justify his actions. "

So pleading not guilty means admitting fault? Boy was I all screwed up on that definition.

If it's a dead story why are you reading it and then posting comments on it? Hmm?

wallofvoodoo

If what they are going to release is going to be used in trial, how would it affect the outcome of the trial? The jurors are going to get to see it anyway. Besides, you usually are given a suspended sentence & put on parole. It will probably be plead out.

SaltySeaShells..such a Old Story

Who cares any more=
Just send him to AAProgram.
Let him Get on with his Life>>>>>>>>

Enough said,,Get Over it......

Hes no longer in office..let him renew his future

@Enough said,,Get Over it......

"Hes no longer in office..let him renew his future"

Is that you Killpack? Or are you a family member or political ally?

If it's over why do you keep posting comments? Why are his mistakes to be swept under the rug while the rest of us must bear the consequences of our actions that result in negative public records forever?

Take a chill pill and let him suffer the consequence of his actions like anyone else would have to. If anything he should be scrutinized more because of his position of public trust. That magnifies his crime and there should be a greater consequence than if your average joe had committed the same crime.

Why ya rug the Beans..

He messed up too bad!
