GOOD ON YOU TRISH!!!
These are stories we like to hear about the Olympics. I had a friend who carried the Torch for the Calgary Games in 1988. He had to run over a mile with no security or chaperones. He ran by himself. He carried the Torch for the second time this month with hundreds.
We had a another cool American and US Olympian carry the Torch into the States for a short run yesterday at the border. No other than one of the best ski racers of all time-Phil Mahre. I was lucky enough to race with Phil and brothers Steve and Paul? many years ago on very brief jaunt on the US Pro Tour. Phil was the nicest guy on the Tour and believe me that was few and far between. Very helpful for a rookie from Canada who got whooped. It was great to see Phil carry the Torch.
Again last night 15 thousand plus in Richmond for Torch party. Tomorrow am will be our turn in the neighborhood. Gonna be a party!!!
WELCOME TO CANADA
Got the chills reading this story. Must have been amazing to run with the torch.
I'm very impressed at her efforts to introduce exercise to students who don't have good role models. She is making a huge difference in the lives of these young people.
Congratulations, Trish. I lived in Manti, Utah when the torch came through there in 2002. The whole town came to see it. It was a great day.
Great job Trish! You earned that torch, and there are 87 kids at Redwood Elementary who can thank you, the Salt Lake City Track Club, SelectHealth, and Saucony for their introduction to running as a fitness activity.
Stories like this make me proud of what we can accomplish through volunteer efforts in our communities.
