Comments about ‘BYU falls to 17th; Mountain West has 3 in Top 25’

The beautiful thing about NCAA hoops is the tournament separates the wheet from the tares. It is sad that the y will probably waste a higher seed that another team could move on with.

Odds of y doing damage in the tournament are pretty pretty slim. Played three decent teams produced three losses.

I'm as big of a BYU fan as any, but never once truly believed they were a top 12 team. They're good and have had a great season so far, but still a lot left to prove. Even #17 is quite respectable and I hope they can live up to it with a great end to the season. If they end up choking down the road and lose 2 more, it will be another 9 seed and first round exit. Here's to hoping they prove me wrong, get a #5 seed and make it to round 2!

Success in Football and Basketball by the conference has been seriously hampered by lack of exposure on mainstream outlets.

As a Ute fan I have two things to say. This Ute team is a very strange team considering some of their wins and losses. Also, I am very happy to see the conf with three teams in the top 25 now lets get all three into the dance and some quality wins.

Why isn't Utah ranked? With All-American Jace Tavita leading the way, the Utes should be in the top tier of programs...don't ya think?

I'll take a 4th seed, especially if they end up in SLC for the Sweet 16.

Key games: Beat NM at home...don't lose to bottom dwellers left on schedule including the Utes...get to MWC conference championship game.

Finish the season 32-3 or 31-4 and we should be well placed to win two games in the tourney!

Maybe we should get rid of some of the weaker schools like Wyoming and Utah and bring in some stronger teams to boost up the league?

#17 now. That should be a minimum 5 seed. If we can beat the Lobos we should be back up to #12 or so. That would put us at a #4 seed.

Funny all the Cougar fans not talking about the Cougs but the Utes. I guess I will take that as a compliment. Just be happy while the Utes are rebuilding.

Say did u guys throw a parade for your team last year to celebrate their great moral victory of being awarded (but not earning) a 5 seed and getting into the Big Dance in who knows how many years? Just wondering...

If you aren't a player or coach, those terms should be off limits. "They" or "the" as in "the Cougars" or "if they" would be a more correct terms.
