Find some real stats

Utah has won 100 percent of its games when it ... scores 110-plus (11-0)
I am so tired of reading how a team wins when they score or a lot or how they lose when they don't. Tell me something I didn't already know.

I agree

I have one. The Jazz have won 100% of games where they score more points than their opponants.

OR...

The Jazz win 100% of their games when their opponents score less than the they do.

check your stats...

...the last Jazz lost was to the Nuggets, final score of that game, 119-112. look it up!

Jody

Just checked the stats ... and you're correct, 11-0 at home when scoring 110-plus. Thank you. They're 14-1 overall in those high-scoring games.

They are also 31-0 when outscoring their opponents, so you guys are on the money there, too.

Love it

Love the 31-0 stat when they outscore their opponent!!!

A few years back (actually probably closer to 20 now) I was listening to Jazztalk with Dave Blackwell and Ron Boone. A caller called in and asked Booner what the Jazz had to do to have a good season and go deep into the playoffs. Boone rambled on for a minute or so and then concluded with ". . . when it comes right down to it, I think that if the Jazz can consistently outscore their opponents this year, they'll have a successfull season." I honestly do not think that Booner saw the irony in his response.

Can someone explain to me how Miles is getting mins over Korver? And yes, I know Miles is the back-up 3 and Korver the 2, but Korver could come on when AK goes to the bench with Brewer or Matthews at the 3.

Miles is shooting 30% from 3, and 40% overall. Hardly good, especially since his defense is bad. Sloan needs to sit him and give his mins to Korver who is shooting lights out in limited mins and is now finally more healthy.

The Jazz realize that the last 33 games they have 13 at home and 20 roadies. It will not be easy. I vote for Matt Harpring to replace Boone. He is much better at anlyzing the game and doesn't have a plethora of trite cliches....i.e. "for the most part", and being an echo chamber for Bolerjack. As a matter of fact Matt could probably be better than Craig at #1 on the telecast team. I get bored with the asides we constantly hear during the play, when play by play dialogue should occur. The personal conversations/musings during the game is very distracting, and is over the top. This isn't two guys sitting a a bar while the game is in progress. Come on Miller...listen to these guys and give them some feedback to improve the telecasts for the fans. Thank you.

Let them fix the horrible radio broadcast before they worry about TV.

I completely agree with you. I cringe every time I hear Boone talk about "that's a Morgan Jewelers for sure" after every big play. It's painful.

I really hope Matt does a few more games for us this year, maybe that's why he and Miller had lunch the other day. He actually adds to the game instead of being a side show to it. I love hearing his take on why the Jazz run certain plays and what they do to prepare for teams.

Hopefully he'll be around for a while, if not, well it was great while it lasted.

RE: Check your stats

the 110 point stat was home games. The loss was in Denver so maybe you should check your facts.

RE: Batman

Unfortunatly for Korver he plays a position that you need to have foot speed to guard anyone. Not saying CJ Miles is a stopper but he plays better D. And if anyone is noticing it is the Jazz D that has been so amazing during the win streak.

For those who conclude that the Jazz have done anything significant in their current 13 out of 15 run, consider that of all the wins against teams with over .500 records who actually have a shot a making the playoffs and being serious of going deep into playoffs, none of these wins were against those teams when they were at full strength. Let's slow down, take a deep breath and see what happens in the stretch run, and wait to see the results when they play back to back games when at least one of the back to backs is versus a full strength Los Angeles, Orlando, Boston, Phoenix, or whoever remains on the schedule and is a contender. Then I might consider backing off my strong position. Until then, let's just enjoy the ride and root for the Jazz, and not, for Pete's Sake go off about how well they are doing. They haven't done anything yet, and we all know it. Home court throughout the playoffs is the goal of the better teams, who have a serious shot at a run. That is why losses to dummies like Minnesota, Sacramento, etc. is so crucial.

I completly aggree about fixing the radio broacasts. No one can do it like Hot Rod but in an era of no more free tv. Those of us radio listeners need good play by play. If I hear "buy one and get one free" again I'm going to scream.

CJ is getting Korver's minutes because they're trying to up his trade value.
And definitely find a spot for Harpring in the organization, it would be great to have him actually bring some intelligence to a broadcast, the tv guys are cheerleaders pointing out the obvious and working up catch-phrases like "that looked like it could have maybe been a possible foul there Craig" as Brewer lays twitching in a pile next to the stairs into the stands with K-Mart and Melo staring down at him and growling.
or another of my favorites as we watch the replay, and with only a brief delay, Boone says "yep Craig, Deron passed it to Boozer and he scored the basket"....good thing there's slow-mo eh, Ron.

MR OBVIOUS!

I agree with getting Harp and booting boone out! Boones grasp for the obvious is Phenomenal!!But thats all he has, and for the radio Broadcast i think David is doing okay but he needs to quit trying to make up catch phrases, its not working for him just talk normal, it just makes him sound ridiculous, But i do like his energy!! And give the jazz some credit for winning, but take it with a grain of salt they do this every year make a big run, yes they are playing great basketball, but what i look for is how they bounce back after there first loss after this winning streak ends, that will tell us if its the team of old or the team that can step up and go deep in the west and maybe all the way!!
