Um, Utah needs to have some festivities to honor the Mormon Battalion. I never hear too much about these courageous men who were some of the very first Mormon pioneers to enter the S.L. valley.
I agree. These men and women need to be honored and remembered more than they are. Why doesn't someone paint a picture of the Mormon Battalion?
Has anyone compiled a list of the names & ages of the 350 battalion members who actually completed the ~2000 mile trek? Are daguerreotypes,etc., of any of them available anywhere for viewing?
