WAS A BEAST TONIGHT!!!! Man I love watching AK47 play this year. Good game but when did the Thuggets start getting the Laker treatment??? Man the refs gave Denver so many bogus calls and when DWill was getting hammered 3 plays in a row there was not a whistle to be found. If the refs are giving the Thuggets love this year maybe they beat the Lakers in the postseason...although I still fully believe the Jazz will get that 2nd seed in the West over Denver.
The Jazz do not match up well with DEN or LA. The win is great. It took both Boozer and Millsap to win as Millsap got shafted by the refs and fouled out. So much for trading Boozer. The Jazz have to have the depth against DEN and LA.
Okur had an off night. Price is not the answer at back up PG. That almost lost the game with him playing point late in the game. Boozer and AK played extremely well on both offense and defense. Boozer actually played decent D in the last 8 minutes. AK had 5 steals.
If the Jazz can beat LA (I am assuming they will not let down against LAC) they could gain ground on DEN. How bad is Billup's ankle?
Is Kobe actually hurt?
Solid win tonight for the Jazz, even if the Nuggets were missing Melo and Chauncey. Korver gets another DNP. If Jerry has decided he's going to play Matthews and Miles ahead of Korver in the rotation then why not make another cost cutting trade to move Kyle and get under the luxury tax. It would save the Jazz a TON of money. Is just doesn't make sense not to play him, and not benefit from it.
Good game, Booz stepped up in the fourth quarter. Denver still showed they are tough even without Melo & Billups and the Jazz showed toughness too, by not folding.
AK continues to play All Star level ball.
CJ although he scored well, he still looked to soft and didn't do anything but score. (defense was OK).
Let's hope the Jazz can keep it going and go into the All Star break with a ten game win streak.
Wish Sloan would play Fes some to get him more experience and make it so he can be dependable when needed.

Lately AK has been playing like he is worth his paycheck!!!
Good win Jazz!!!
Great win against a very high-quality Denver team. AK was a defensive stud tonight, along with good efforts by Brewer, Price, and others. I was also impressed by the overall team approach employed by the Jazz. Boozer stepped right back in without missing a best.
Now, stay focused and don't relax against a 2nd-tier Clippers team. Despite their record, they are very capable of pulling off the upset if we are not prepared.
I hope the Jazz are just playing Miles, so they can trade him soon. When he enters the game, the offense shuts down. He doesn't pass; he dribbles. If I wanted to cheer for a one-man-show, I'd move to Miami.
Sloan needed the defense that Mathews and CJ could provide. DEN is a fast team that can get hot outside and also drive. Korver is useful against other teams.
I am not going to fault Sloan for going with hot players. CJ was hitting outside well enough to keep the game open inside. Later DWill did it.
There are times when CJ can't hit anything and Korver is invaluable. The Jazz depth and Sloan's use of it are major reasons why the Jazz are on a roll.
Forget about saving money. The Jazz have tried to cheap their way to a championship since day one. Keep Boozer and Korver. If CJ gets hurt the Jazz are back to playing like they did in NOV.
The Jazz were ahead and got enough offense and great defense in the last 8 minutes to win.
Korver is better on offense than D and the refs were not giving the Jazz calls so his FT shooting was less important.
I do not know ow adequately I can put this, without everyone assuming the wrong perceptions about being negative.
It is great to have that 8 game winning streak. For the most part except for stages in the 3rd quarter and part 4th the Jazz offense was fine. DWIL was great dishing and scoring, yes Okur was off Boozer and MIllsap combined big nights., Miles productive off bench and Matthews some good d.
Kirilenko was spectacular and active all around again, However he was not as good all the time on help d tonight nor were the others. At times with the blocks and a little more intensity we did the job, but not a 48 MINUTE DEFENSIVE JOB TONIGHT.
If I were the Nuggets they will not be discouraged. They had way in paint. No Fes to try and change the tide. DWIL has problems with fast points like Lawson. Anderson, Martin, Graham, Lawson just took it right down the gut.
If Billups and Melo had played, I feel Denver would have won tonight. There is a still a gap between us.
If Fes is not inserted, especially in road games, this problem will start to magnify.
Is gonna be traded I believe. Why else would he being playing ahead of Korver unless he was being showcased for a trade. We all know Sloan hates players who shoot out of offense shots and that was Miles does. He will be traded. Memo needs to be shopped around also...what is with his shot this year??? He needs Dr. Hornaceks psychotherapy. I also agree that Price is definately not the answer at backup point guard. He cannot shoot at all, why not play Gaines? JAZZ FANS WANT GAINES...GAINES,GAINES,GAINES
miles disappearing act, trade the clueless wonder, korver starter,Matthews great scorer, fire sloan,,
The last two games the refs probably did not do very well in Vegas unless they bet the spred at 10 points or more. They tried hard though with some of the bogus calls they made.
Gonna get this out of the way first, I still believe that Fesenko would have helped in this game.
Now that that's out of the way, what an amazing turnaround this team has experienced! And a key factor to that has been Kirilenko back as a starter and as a key component on both ends of the floor. For years, he's been saying he needs more touches on the ball – not shots, touches – and it looks like his teammates finally understand. Glad to have Boozer back, and glad that Millsap continued to play well despite returning to a reserve role. Denver still got a ton of points in the paint, but at least this time the Jazz gave as good as they got both in the paint and on the glass, and that active defense forced a lot of Denver turnovers. Dang glad to see this victory come. Utah is indeed making some of the steps it needs to in order to be a serious contender!
Peace out from the Jazz Oracle!
I don't care who missed the game for Denver, you play who's on the court and go for the win. AK is playing great and so is Deron. Deron is controlling the game offensively. Complete team ball, even while getting Boozer back. Alot of people seemed worried about Booz coming back and wrecking things but with Deron and AK's consistent play, they just need a couple others to step up offensively (while getting the same defensive effort) each game to keep this going. No they aren't playing perfect but if they keep this up they are going to win 7 or 8 games out of every 10.
Despite this great winning streak I think a trade needs to happen if the jazz want to be legit contenders this year. Whether thats trading boozer, okur, or miles. I'm a realist jazz fan and even though they've been great these past few weeks I don't think they are as good as Denver.
I love how all you guys are in love with Fesenko, the guy has never done anything and I watch every single Jazz game. As far as trades go if I were a betting man I would say Brewer or CJ will get traded, no one will give the Jazz they want for Boozer.
The fantasy coaches are out in force tonight. How 'bout this for coaching genius? Don't make any trades--keep seeing if this system works and go into the All-Star break as the hottest team in the NBA? Get(perhaps) even better and don't waste time the second half of the season trying to coddle stupid fans who think that Fez is the next Kareem. Assume that Sundiata is a rookie and he might not be the next Steve Nash and that he needs time to mature. Oh! I'm sorry, I seem to be morphing into the mindset of stodgy old Jerry Sloan, who could never know as much about basketball as someone who won their Yahoo Fantasy League three years in a row. Yup, he just doesn't seem to connect to todays players anymore, does he?
I didn't think Boozer fit in well in the game; he never has. He's one of those guys that will put up good numbers but won't help a team win a lot of games. Okur got nothing, in part because Boozer didn't share the ball. I liked the way the offense played against Portland much better. I'd like to see Boozer and Miles traded for some depth up front and possibly a back-up point gaurd. Nice to see AK playing like we all knew that he could.
How about trading Boozer & Korver fot the Celtic's Ray Allen & Shelton Williams? The Jazz get a bull's eye clutch shooter (& cap relief) plus a solid rebounder & defender while the C's get a good outside shooter and an all star..Granted I am a Celtics fan but the Jazz are a close second & I follow them religiously...
Jazz fans, I am elated at the recent success our beloved team is enjoying, but remember to stay grounded and not lost in the clouds.
This team AT BEST is a 3rd or 4th best team in the west. This is reality, now if you are willing to settle for 3rd or 4th then keep the team as it is, but if your like me and want to see that championship trophy come home to SLC then DEMAND that the jazz take that last step.
KOC, Greg, Jerry, and the rest of you... We are so close to having an unstoppable machine make it happen. One or two players would do. Be smart, but DONT BE CHEAP! Give the fans, SLC, and the players a shot at the big one.
