Bingham Mom

Thank goodness for refs that don't call our fouls or our moving screens. Being number one has its advantages, they overlook a lot. State title here we come!!!

Bingham MOm

too cushioned all around

re: Bingham Moms

Huh? You got to be kidding.

Why am I struggling to believe that "Bingham Mom" is really a Bingham mom???

Bingham Mom

Believe me I am and proud of it. I love how we get every bit of help we can get...not that we need it often, but last night we did and it paid off. Honestly thanks to the refs!!!

Bingham Miners

just a matter of time until the MIners lose. all the practices that only consist of tornado games and hardly any saturday practices because they "are that good". all these other programs that are working harder will get them in few weeks. can't just "turn it on" like a light switch. no substitute for hard work. one of the region 4 teams will finish on top - my pick - Alta. Maybe one of the bhs freshmen will save the day.

Fools

The world is full of fools. You fools are really talking it up. Alta will not be on top. That is easy to see. The Bingham Mom leads the pack. Don't you think that the Grizzlies got away with a lot of fouls.

re: Bingham Mom

If anybody got away with fouls it was Copper Hills. They seem to be holding Clifford every time he got inside.

re:Bingham Miners

Tornado eh? that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard...just another Bingham hater, which is ok, we are used to it. the kids play hard and work hard in practice...would be interesting to find out where you get your info, perhaps your a parent of a kid that got cut? maybe a nosy parent upset that your kid isn't playing?....interesting....

if anyone was getting fouls it was copper hills???
what are you dumb? ben clifford wasn't getting held he was getting shut out, my boys did a very good job friday night. it was a great game, and i almost bet most of you people weren't even there, Bingham pulled out the win thats it, copper hills didnt choke or play bad, bingham just had some really lucky shots fall, but i'll tell you one thing, Copper Hills&Bingham will met again this season and you want to know where? playoffs, Coach Dubach even said it him self, the two teams that scare him from getting his state title is, one, Lone Peak and two, Copper Hills.

High school will always revolve around playing time. The blog comments, anonymous though they are, reflect a perfect venue for moms and dads to vent their frustrations about little Johnny who just isn't quite good enough to start, or see many minutes. Hey! Let's post something on the blogs! We'll 'get' that evil coach! He really isn't interested in winning or providing a good product for his school, he's actually just after my kid! I think I'll post! That way, if I ever see him at the local supermarket in a year or two, he won't put me to sleep with a right cross since he'll never know it was me posting anonymously on the blogs!

Hoop Fan

Coach Dubach should be worried about more than one or two teams. Alta, Jordan, Davis, Freemont, PG, Brighton and West are good enough to beat Bingham on any given night. Watch out coach you might not like what you get. Having played Bingham this year, I can say that they do get a lot of calls.

re: Hoop Fan

Well let's see. Bingham beat Alta not much of a game. They beat Jordan in Logan during the Holiday's, but a pretty close game. They beat Davis on their home floor. They thumped Fremont, not a chance. Haven't played PG but they seem to have their ups and downs. The beat Brighton that was a good game. You have got to be kidding about West. They haven't played anybody noteworthy. They should be out in the first round of the tourny. As a Bingham fan it seems to me that we always have at least one ref every game who doesn't like us and is constantly making calls against Bingham. I guess it's just the fans point of view.

Bingham Miners

My prediction in the playoffs - Clifford gets in early foul trouble (I know - shocker) and the 3 pt shots stop falling in the quarter or semi finals and the Miners lose to either Alta, Brighton or Lone Peak. Clifford is the key - they don't have a replacement for him against a quality team. Can't live and die with a low percentage shot (3 pt) - it will catch up to you.

to "re: hoop fan"

Was that last comment supposed to be a joke or.....? I bet Bingham has won the foul count in 90% of their games the past ten seasons, despite being one of the most aggressive defenses in the state. Yet most refs seem to believe that Bingham never fouls becuase "bingham is too good to commit a foul" or "They are so talented that it must have been a clean play". If there is any doubt, they get the benefit every time.

UTAH

I can tell everyone, what CH did vs bingham the second time they played was key on one guy! ben clifford, all teams that play bingham just play him rough and youll stop him CH did and what did he do?? nothing!!!!! the only reason they one that game is Ty Hannay, kids got a great shot i give it to him but the wont fall evertime.. good luck to everone!! lets all take bingham down cause them winning football, and drill, they better not win basketball!!!!!!!! cause they wont win anything else in any other sport

how do the regions crossover this year? 1 to 2? and 3 to 4? ive also heard that if a team gets a 5th seed they play the 4th seed in another region for a play off spot?

re: to "re: hoop fan"

It' no joke. In looking at this years games Bingham had an advantage in all but 4 or 5 games. Didn't track it that close. The main reason that they have had this advantage is exactly what "UTAH" said above. They key on Clifford and he goes to the line. It's to bad that DNEWS doesn't keep foul shot stats. He gets alot and is a pretty good foul shooter. Like I said before every fan doesn't believe that their team fouls. Just like a parent saying my kid never does anything wrong. You obviously really hate Bingham based on your comments. Funny how Bingham hasn't won it for several years. I would have thought that Lone Peak would have had the target on their backs instead.

re: re: to "re: hoop fan"

The Deseret News does report FG and FT attempts and made. Bingham has averaged shooting 22 free throws per game and the opposition has averaged shooting 17 per game (in state games). The biggest discrepancies were v. Fremont (Fremont 15, Bingham 24), v. Davis (Davis 12, Bingham 27), v. Olympus (Olympus 30, Bingham 19), v. Brighton (Brighton 21, Bingham 32), v. Jordan (Jordan 30, Bingham 21), Copper Hills game 1 (Copper Hills 29, Bingham 40), v. Kearns (Kearns 4, Bingham 19), v Taylorsville (Taylorsville 3, Bingham 28), v Riverton (Riverton 11, Bingham 26). There were only 15 free throws in this game (CH game 2) and it was 9 for Bingham, 6 for CH. Of course some of these games are hard to gauge because they may have been blowouts where the weaker team was fouling out of desperation. The thing is, a team that takes in to the paint a lot is going to draw a lot more fouls than other teams... especially if they finish a lot.

Nicely said and done.
