I loved how Ian lite a fire under the butts of Real Salt Lake two season's ago and if he gets back into the fold again for upcoming season I am all for it!
If he does not get on with RSL, I wish him all the luck wherever he ends up.
Agreed. Good luck to you Joy!
Either way, he is always welcome in Salt Lake. Alles Gute Ian.
We are covered at outside back.
Here are the problems I have with Joy: he's older and he has at least one child. In my opinion, the male RSL fan base wants to recruit more young, single men. That's the only way to make the upcoming season as exciting as possible- fresh meat.
I agree with georg that it was wonderful how Joy lit a fire under the butts of the rest of the team a couple of years ago. I'm sure the team really enjoyed it, but for them too only young blood is going to satisfy their insatiable vampire hunger in the future.
Huh? The male RSL fan base wants to recruit more young, single men? Huh?
Nonsense. Family status makes no difference. As part of the male RSL fan base I want someone good and willing to do everything to win! Ian is welcomed by me if he's fit and the team wants him.
To Re: Chadders
I think it's important to cater to the wealthiest part of RSL's fan base, single males, because without their support the team dies. As far as RSL is concerned, families are second tier fans because they have the least amount of money to spend (in other words they are cheap) and they consume the most resources at games- water in bathrooms, janitorial services from making messes, etc. That's why we should give single males fans what they want- more single males players to party with. Allez RSL!!!!
