Is this hypocrisy?

or what?

Alcohol Consumption

No alchohol was served at the Greg Hughes fundraiser, but that does not mean alcohol was consumed. Remember, alcohol is not served at Rice-Eccles Stadium, yet BYU fans continuously claim to have beer poured on them at that venue.

Jazz Tickets

Killpack likes those Jazz tickets from lobbyists. After watching Boozer and Brewer play so many times, how could he not start drinking beer? He had no choice.

take his lisence away for DUI

Except thats only his first time.
Never Drink and drive dont you know!!

aw man

now get up and represent!!

Naturally

No he is not getting special treatment- ohhhh I just saw a pig fly by my window- I will be right back!!!!! Back now- what really bothers me is that I was just sure this whole DUI thing was not true- he is such an honest upright guy- he never would support or pass legislation that he directly benefits from nor would he pass legislation that he goes out and then violates- I was just so sure it was not true- afterall if I listen to other legislators in this state we do not need reform of any kind becasue they have a "covenant" relationship with us and would never do wrong- sadly I have watched many with covenant relationships with entities I consider far higher than the State of Utah do some really bad things- thanks Sheldon for reminding all of us that no one can or should be above the law- enjoy the plea or the trial

dlazyd

"slightly above the legal limit"???!!?? For you math wizards, isn't .11 nearly 30% over .08?

More changes to come...

Can't they file charges against Mark Walker.... for being an idiot?

Stanley

He should get the same treatment as everyone else who gets a DUI, but i bet he doesn't. Favoritism will be given to him just watch, and if that happens, who ever gets a DUI can say he got off so can I.

Utah

Bravo Deseret News for stepping up to the plate and reporting the facts, not the white-washed pablum served up by the other SL newspaper.

Speaking of which. Whatever happened to the Midvale officer (Salazar)? I only heard the one time about his DUI.

Anonymous

I survived a DUI crash where the guy plowed into my car. PRAY that you and your loved ones NEVER have to hear the sound of the JAWS OF LIFE cutting you out of a car.

Kudos to the UHP officer for handling this and not giving preferential treatment.

Killpack should be ashamed of himself for putting other people's lives in danger.

Lobbyist.

Killpack should thank Alan Dayton, mark walker, and other lobbyists for a "night to remember."

He got the Boot out&Time ?

Did he not

plyxply

He will get more than his due punishment from his DUI. He's already lost basically everything he worked for in his political life, everyone who knows him has heard about his DUI, and there isn't a judge in the state who would dare not give him whatever everyone else gets so stop whining about him not paying his just due. Hopefully Sheldon will have the support of his friends and family through this difficult time and he'll come through this is as a better man and person.

Phil

The bottom line is that he was out with lobbyist's, what were they treating him so good for? I'll tell you, they were out for some type of legislation for them! Those people on the hill would sell their souls for jazz tickets. Teacher's can't afford to get in their pockets so education gets the crumbs. Lastly,
lets see if the law treats everyone equally!!!

Politicians

You can't trust politicians nowadays...plain and simple. Give a politician power and he will abuse it. ALWAYS VOTE ALL INCUMBENTS OUT!

Do you know my name?

He might have asked the officer - "Do you know my name? Do you know who I AM?!?!"

"I'M SELDOM SIXPACK!"

Glass Houses

He who is without sin..... Everyone has their piccadilloes. Yes, he shouldn't get special treatment, but looks like he's getting extra visible treatment due to his public official status to me. This is a humiliation and hard time for his family. Some of you snarky commenters ought to think twice if it was your family member. Yes, he should pay the penalty to society, but the gleefulness of some of you is just really, really disturbing. Grow up.

Know although heres the photo

and the sixpack..
hickup hickup going
for the pickup
