You critisized "Year One" because the actors are always the same character in every movie they make... yet you applaud the actors in this movie for the same thing. I can't beleive they pay you to be a movie critic!

I really Sandra Bullock,
but I did not like her in this movie. She was unconvincing as a hard nosed manager. From the start when everyone was texting that the "whitch was in", she wasn't convincing enough for me. She needed to play more like Meryl Streep in the Devil Wears Prada, then as the movie moved on we needed to see her softer side. I didn't see that contrast.

I, too, enjoyed the actors in this movie. Each character did his/her job well. I was entertained but left feeling "empty" in the end because of the shallowness of the story and attitude towards marriage. Is this a reflection of today's values on marriage or just lazy writing to develop something that "feels" more sincere than this movie?

Pardon the pun, but "concealed nudity" doesn't quite cover it. Having read Jeff V.'s review, my wife and I saw the film, expecting the actors to stay mostly covered. Being a PG-13 movie, we knew there'd be some suggestive material, but we didn't expect the actor and actress to be that exposed.

Given the blurry standards for PG-13 films, we've relied quite a bit on the reviews in the Deseret News, looking to avoid the worst content. Tonight it didn't work out. Hopefully in the future Jeff can give a bit better warning when a PG-13 film walks this close to an R rating.

I would really like to see this movie, but strong profanity and vulgarity are disgusting to me. I definitly will not go to this movie.

I guess if people are talking about your reviews from a previous movie and they're trusting you to help them decide if they should go to a PG13 movie or not...must mean you're doing what you're supposed to be doing!!! We're going to this movie tonight...so help me Jeff, if there's too much nudity, sex, swearing or if I just plain don't like the movie...I want you to personally refund me and my wife for this movie..."darn you"...lol.

No refund necessary!!! Loved it and yes the almost all nudity scene was a little too long, but I choose not to blame you Jeff for that...

Horrible Movie | 9:35 a.m. Aug. 6, 2009
It looked like a cute movie, but it was one of the worst I've seen. The bachalorette party was far from funny - in fact, the dance Sandra Bullock got during it made me want to throw up. Disgusting. The Grandma groping her breasts wasn't funny either. No, a washrag and her hands doesn't cover her.

Another thing. . . .  | 9:51 a.m. Aug. 6, 2009
besides all of the nauseating things I just mentioned, the ending is ridiculous. I almost laughed at the ending romantic scene. I don't find it believable, even by normal movie standards, that someone would hate someone with every fiber of their being, bash them, yet after one weekend really want to marry them.

I loved this movie! Sandra Bullock is my favorite! They give movies ratings for a reason, people. If you have a problem with swearing or whatever else may be in a PG-13 movie, don't go see it. Plain and simple.

THIS MOVIE HAS A BAD MESSAGE-- Gee, let's see here: Miss Bad Bullock is more than willing to risk sending her employee (Ryan Reynolds) to prison for 5 years with a $250,000 fine, just so she doesn't have to go back to Canada. Wow, what a great idea! And of course, Reynolds has no problem with that just as long as Bullock will try and advance his career ambitions somehow. So, let's see here: Breaking the law and using other people is just fine, just so long as we can keep our jobs or make more money. There were only 2 characters I did like in the movie; Betty White and the old girlfriend of Reynolds in Alaska. They are the only down-to-earth honest folks in the whole movie. Reynolds should have dumped Bullock and married his old girlfriend.

I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. I'm a big fan of the persona that Sandra Bullock tends to play and was in no way disappointed!

The nudity spoiled the movie for me - it was suppose to be funny - hmm, maybe to some people who like naked people. Also, Sandra Bullock was too old for her part with Reynolds.
