A great bunch of books. Too bad Hollywood can't adapt anything without going to the "we need to make a fantasy blockbuster" motto.

I've already posted on this film for months regarding how Walden Media pushed for something far different from Cooper's books. I don't blame Hodge for a bad adaptation--he was just following orders. But I do hope that sometime, someone will have the guts to do this series the right way.

The best comparison I can make is that this movie is what the original Lord of the Rings cartoon movie was to that book.
