Come on Jeff. I'm actually thrilled to finally see a little jingoism on screen. It's overdue escapism that actually paints bad guys as bad guys. With 98% of all real-world terrorism being perpetrated by (gasp) those of the Wahhabist Saudi tradition, I look forward to seeing them get their just rewards on screen once in a while. This bend-over-backward-navel-gazing tendency we have to look everywhere BUT at the real problem is irritating.

I'm happy to let the fois-grois and croissant crowd congratulate each other over the superficial, insipid "insight" that they gain from the oh-so-self-knowing wisdom of "in the Valley of Elah" and "Paradise Now". I'll happily take a break and enjoy Jamie Fox and Jennifer Gardner kick a little terrorist arse onscreen. It certainly is an infrequent pleasure these days.
