attempt to mimic a 60s caper flick, I believe that Mr.
Spielberg came up with something that, although
entertaining, fell far short of its potential. The true
story of Frank Abagnale Jr. is so full of completely
amazing twists that the writer and director both missed
the point by trying to "cute" it up and by spending so
much time on Frank Sr. Still, it is an enjoyable film and
well worth seeing.
the movie was very well done. It left me satisfied and
happy. I definitely recommend it!

film, technically, aesthetically, narratively, and
thematically speaking. Every aspect works. Each element,
i.e., the writing, directing, acting, cinematography,
editing, costume design, art direction, set decoration,
music and sound, blends seamlessly into the overall piece
of
wonderful art that is this film. It is easily one of
2002's
best films. The characters have depth, they feel real.
The
dialog crackles with originality and verve scarcely heard
in
a typical Hollywood movie. The film is so saturated with
style that one cannot help but recline, wide-eyed, in
complete admiration at its sheer successfulness. The
somewhat encrypted theme of the film is that individuals
have an inescapable basic need to belong to a loving family
unit. Yes, it's a story about a brilliant con artist
seeking the high life, but that is only the veneer serving
to draw the audience in to the film's deeper ideas and
human
expressions. Movie lovers of every sort should not only
see
this film, they should bask in it. Go ahead, willingly
suspend disbelief. Allow the story to take you on its
thrilling and satisfying ride. Afterwards, reflect freely
and joyously on its themes and purpose. "Catch Me If You
Can" is a movie people should see because it epitomizes
that
ever elusive perfect blend of art and entertainment.
