Supposedly intelligent people doing REALLY stupid things
(why didn't he just call the cops at the first threat?
would he really go to a foreign country with less civil
security than his native land with the possibility that
life-threatening thugs can easily follow/find him?).
Totally illogical/impossible occurences (are banks really
that easy to rob? can somebody get through an airport on
someone else's passport that easily?).
And finally, what's with the extended scenes spoken totally
in Russian with no subtitles (I can see a minute or two but
these scenes went ON AND ON).
Stupid characters started out sympathetic and ended up
idiotic. Less-than-sympathetic characters supposedly
changed their wicked ways long after their behavior had
pushed me beyond revulsion. This movie was insulting to my
intelligence and it's one of the few movies I actually
started fast-forwarding through just so I could get to the
end (I should have just turned it off and watched a mind-
numbing sitcom).
Even with the fast-forwarding I felt like I needed to take
a bath and do some serious gargling afterward to get rid of
the wretched aftertaste! AVOID THIS EXCUSE-FOR-
ENTERTAINMENT AT ALL COSTS!
