"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" in its original cartoon
format is my favorite Christmas movie EVER. I was excited
by the prospect of seeing what Jim Carrey could do with
it. To my amazement this real life version is about as
funny as anything I have seen. I doubt if Dr. Seuss
himself would add the slightly vulgar (bathroom humor)
parts in it. I do, however, think that Dr. Seuss would be
amazed at the great depiction of the Whoville people and
Mr. Grinch himself! I would suggest this movie to ANYONE.
Congratulations Jim Carrey for a job well done. I had more
to say, but I'm off to see this film again... bye.

I don't think that Dr.Suess would approve of the way his
story has been portrayed in this movie. There were
promising moments but I felt like there were too many Jim
Carrey crude antics to accuratley portray the Grinch.

I loved the "Grinch" it was the coolest. Well here's what
I think, if you went to go see it because you're a Dr.
Seuss fan, chances are you probably didn't like it. Yeah
it really didn't follow the books story line that well but,
WHO CARES? But if you went to see it because you're a Jim
Carrey fan you most likely loved it.

I couldn't believe how many people seemed to like this
movie. Jim Carrey was admittedly funny--at times--but as a
whole, the movie shouldn't have been attempted. For one
thing, unless your kids are too dumb to understand the
sexual innuendoes (and you'd have to be pretty dumb) this
isn't a family movie. There's no redemption at the end.
Despite a hugely overacted "heart growth" the Grinch
doesn't change in the least. He's still the same crotchety
green man delivering presents and distributing Who-roast
beast. All in all, there's nothing here you can't find
better somewhere else.

it is a must see! It had me laughing and crying. It is
very
much based on the book but has some details that
have been pulled out of thin air. i.e. when the grinch
was a baby. Not only that but the Who's don't look a
thing like the drawings in the book. but all in all it was
really good.

This moive was great! As always Jim Carrey did an excellent
job bringing an old character to life! I took my 5 year old
daughter to see it, and her reaction said it all. It's a
wonderful movie!

I thought this movie was cute in a way, but a lot of the
movie I was bored and not very entertained. Jim Carrey is
a
great actor, and the movie did have some good points, but
there was WAY too many scenes of just Carrey talking to
himself. That was boring. But I think the kids will love
it! It wasn't that bad, just not one of my favorites.

As I was going through the long list of movies i've seen I
came to "The Grinch" and thought: Why not write a review on
it? This movie was and still is one of my favorite
Christmas stories. Kids will like it. Jim Carrey is
really funny and a great actor.
