Ray Bradbury's 1983 adptation of his own story takes a
plunge, and I think I know why: when he wrote it for the
Disney studio, they must have interfered with and tampered
with his screenplay ad-nauseum, until it could no longer be
enjoyed, and no lessons could be properly learned from it.
This, of course, is a method that many Hollywood studios
have used in the past several years, and why? Because
they're not really interested in artistic quality, and they
don't care if the movie thuds. As a result, the real
something wicked this way comes is the film, not the
circus. Read the original story instead.
