Not even Kevin Bacon can save this grossly obscene
picture. The screenwriter, director, and producer, I
suspect, are in dire need of psychological counseling.
This garbage supports the contention of many people who
people the film industry is in dire need of censors.

I recently saw Stigmata and Stir of Echoes on the same
day. I fell for the hype for Stigmata, and was let down.
Thankfully I saw Stir of Echoes last. The movie starts out
with your usual horror begining, Kevin Bacon (giving his
best performance to date) doing something dumb (getting
hypnotized by an amateur). Then the back of your chair
won't have a chance to get warm. If you've heard people
say this movie is a grown-up version of the 6th sense,
don't listen. This is one of the most satisfying movies
I've seen (and I own over 10,000). Go see it. I can't say
more without ruining it, so all I'll say is when I left the
theater, it seemed like I just got there. I didn't want
this movie to end.

About the only think this film was good for was to provide
more links in the Kevin Bacon game.

One of the best movies I've seen in a very long while.
Excellent acting, casting, storyline, and production. A
somewhat left-of-center movie that will leave you thinking.
Will have you on the edge of your seat from start to end.
Excellent!!!

This movie definately kicked some azz... The storyline is
amazing! Director should get more respect for even coming
up with this movie. I must say I am not really a big Kevin
Bacon fan, but wow, this is his best movie of my choice so
far. I ranked this movie as 1 of my Top 10, and that's
very hard (meaning to get on my top 10 list). Dont know
who said this movie must not have understood or something.
#1 was definately "Braveheart". Movie was awesome, but
this movie is like in my 5-10 range... Very good movie,
don't listen to what the people said that it's bad and
stuff that they said negatively about it.

PS. Music by GOB - PAINT IT BLACK (awesome song for the
movie) Very nice cast too.

Kevin Bacon was great in this, & the chick who played his
wife wasnt bad either. But apart from some good acting,
theres something about this flick that made me feel
disturbed (in a bad way). Kinda plays out like a bad
horror movie from the 80's. Some parts are good, others
clumsy, awkward, too dark or confusing. It's ok, but not
one to add to the dvd collection.
