I personally loved this movie, I was on the edge of my seat
the whole show. The setting was great along with the
characters. It was a bit thrown together but it was
definitely an action packed show. I think your critic need
to pull his head out, then again he did like Blair Witch
(self explanitory), witch totally sucked! This show had
some great up and coming actors and it was very
entertaining. You go to a movie to be entertained, not to
break it down and analyze the show. I thought it was great!

I wish I would have read the Deseret News review before
going to see this film. Your critic was right on the
money. If you are the type of person who avoids two movies
a year, avoid this movie twice!!!!

Reviewers have panned this flick, and while it may not be
the year's best it still was enjoyable. It was a good old
adventure flick of good vs. evil and the many vs. the few.
It leave out the gratuitus sex scenc and much like Jurrasic
Park is a fairly-true adaptation of a Michael Crichton
novel
called "Eaters of The Dead." If you liked Connan The
Barbarian, you will enjoy this film. Critics look for art,
just look for 2 hours of escapism, get your popcorn and
enjoy.

I do not agree with Mr. Vice's review at all. I enjoyed
this movie so much I saw it twice. The 2-nd time I liked it
even more. The movie has gorgeous battle scenes, excellent
cinematography and costumes, plus the soundtrack is really
good. That is a lot for a movie about Vikings, I guess?
Also the performances of main characters are nice and yes -
I liked Banderas very much in this. I do not give it a
maximum 4 stars because this film should have been longer
and even better.

This was worth the rental. If you read the book it was
great entertainment. If you didn't it may have been overly
confusing. I definitely disagreed with the overly negative
critics review.

I very much disagree with what the critic has said. How
can someone say this movie was awful? Obviously you didn't
pay too much attention to the movie because every bit of it
was great. I'm not meaning to be a smarty-pants, but was
the movie too hard for you to understand? Rent it again
with someone who likes it & let them explain it to you.
And try to keep an open mind next time instead of looking
for the bad right off (I haven't seen the version with
nudity and the before editing, I wish I knew how the movie
was before).

It's kind of odd, every time this movie is on TV (without commercials) my wife and I watch it. It's a simple story, the vikings simply do the right thing because they can. The old, young and women need to be saved. They may or may not save them, but the strong do what they can. So what's wrong with a simple story of good fighting evil?
