It's the best STAR TREK MOVIE YET!

I thought it was really good. It wasn't quite as good as
First Contact, about the level of Star Trek VI.

Well, I would have given it 5 stars, but I haven't seen it
yet. After I do, I'll post my reviews. I LOVE STAR TREK!!!!
I hope it's as good as Star Trek: Generations

I enjoyed the flim, although my opinion is somewhat tainted
by my "Trekiness." Don't be mislead by the explosion filled
commericals, it is a light-hearted flim for the most part.
The flim also draws some interesting paralles concerning
where the star trek franchise stands in the entertainment
industry. Under siege from many sides from the "x-files" to
trashy action flims like "Armageddon" but holding to the
morals that made it great.

It leaves you up and cheering, great night out!

A great show even for non-trekkies! I loved it just like
all of the other movies, and my wife who is not a Star Trek
fan at all was impressed with it too. A great show!!

I'm some what of a Trekie. I thought it was entertaining.

This was an entertaining movie and my favorite of 1998. I
enjoy alot more movies than Jeff Vice does, but that's not
saying much(BTW, Vice is a great critic compared to, say,
Roger Ebert, who has horrendous taste in movies). The humor
was genuinely funny. Watching this movie was like catching
up with old friends. I can't think of any negative
elements, except that I kinda saw the Sona's point. I would
complain that some actors didn't get enough screen time,
but it's hard to fit them all in the script. Even with the
lousy marketing(with sped-up action scenes to make it look
like a sci-fi thriller), the commercials didn't give away
anything. I was enthralled from start to finish and Donna
Murphy is BEAUTIFUL(I know, I'm only 17). Levar Burton
deserves an Oscar nomination, as do Stewart and Spiner. I
wish that Worf and Deanna were together like in "All Good
Things", but that didn't bother me too much. This is the
best movie I've seen in 1998.

Interesting, while an adequate amount of humor. The scene
with Counselor Troi in the bathtub with Riker DEFINITELY
could have been left out. Story and acting were great.

Chris Hicks,
I always trusted your opinion on movies. I always waited
until you reviewed on movies before I watched them. Well I
like Star Trek I really did but I expected much more.
Maybe the timing on the humor or maybe more action, more of
a plot but it did'nt seem like it lived up to "First
Contact"

I thought this movie was the best Star Trek yet. It had a
lot of humor and very good special effects. I Have something
to say about Mr. Jeff Vice and his reviews on this movie and
most of the other movies. I don't think he has seen a movie
yet that he actually likes. He has something bad to say
about almost every movie playing, and he is way off about
star trek.

Now I like the Next Generation series. It has action,
adventure, some mean and nasty alien species, humor,
underlying romance, and lots of fine acting performances -
hey, wait a minute, I could be describing Star Trek:
Insurrection here! And so I am. This is why I enjoyed the
movie so much. After the end of the seven-series wonder, it
was like getting a new addition to my favorite tv show, with
the added big-screen effects and sence of occasion. Live
long, and prosper, crew of the Enterprise.

I am a huge Star Trek fan that likes to see suspensful
action sequences and in insurrection their was quite a
few.The story line was better than some of the previous
Star Trek movies and the characters were well played. The
ending could have been a little better but overall I think
it was a good movie.
Michael Maier | 3:30 p.m. Jan. 15, 2002
This film wasn't anything to gush about, but it was alright
if you like Star Trek. Insurrection isn't what it should
have been though, and as a mainstream film is something of
a disappointment. It certainly doesn't stand up to the
best of it's predecessors(Star Treks II, IV, and VI), but
it does have a compelling excuse for it's occasional
flaws. Drumroll please...It's an odd numbered Star Trek
sequel! It's okay if this film sucks, just wait for number
ten!
