I great show! I haven't been an X-Files fan until I saw this movie and understood what the show is about!

Pretty Good Movie overall. Special effects were ok but the
actual plot was good

I've been an X-Files fan since the beginning so I feel like
I have earned the right to really be cynical about the
movie. :) In a sentence, I thought it was okay. I
especially liked the use of the special effects. They
weren't flashy, but because they weren't, they were more
realistic. In other films, the building would've totally
blown up, but the result in this movie made it a little
more credible (stress on "a little more", btw!). Another
scene I really liked was the brief silent pause after the
ice collapsed from underneath them. On the other hand,
Mulder and Scully talked a bit too much when they first
came onscreen. Even me, an X-phile, thought it was a bit
daunting! Anyways, it was good. I think non-fans would
like it, and fans would love it. I loved it, but I'm
giving 3 stars out of 4 because I'm very critical. :)

Would anyone here like to know who isn't a fan of the X-
Files? Me! That's right, I myself have never found the show
to be terribly appealing, due to my low tolerance for
horror concepts. When it comes to X related items, I prefer
the X-Men comics(albeit not the movie, given that it was
self-canceling and employs a perverse director who's a wolf
in sheep's clothing almost like Errol Flynn). It's really a
puzzle as to why most people like perverse suspense and
horror as presented by the X-Files. And this movie "gap
bridger" that connects between two seasons in 1998 is no
better than the show itself. It's really just an excuse to
feature dialogue and scenes that wouldn't be allowed on the
show. And seriously, what good is it at all? Beware.

I hated the television series and I still do.
However this film really caught my eye and I still enjoy
going back to watch it. It was full of action, interesting
characters and plot twists. Well worth your time.
