Comments about ‘Truman Show, The’

I only gave it 4 stars because nothing is perfect. This has to be the best movie I've seen in along time. It is a new storyline not just a rehash of one used many times before. Jim Carrey is perfect for the part. It has funny spots but is definitely not a comedy. See it

refreshing performance as Truman Burbank, an unwitting
actor in a television show about his own life.

A whopper of a concept! Jim Carrey has proved The Truman
Show that he got the talent for drama as well as comedy.
This is a most splendid and thought provoking movie about
the question, are our lives as private as we'd wish?

In a word, amazing!! I've always been a fan of movies like
this that make you stop and question the world you live in,
but this is my favorite by far. Jim Carrey proves to us
that he can truly act, and the movie definitely benefits by
his talent and charisma!!

This is an incredibly creative and unique movie! It
presents numerous ideas about the human condition and it
presents everything in a very positive light. It takes
more than one viewing to catch on to all of the camera
placements and meanings of the film. The movie is
extremely clean and shows that Jim Carrey is a very
versatile actor. Incredible movie!

Jim Carrey needs to make more movies like this. He needs to start ACTING instead of just acting stupid.
