Tombstone was the best movie. But that might be just
because I like Val Kilmer so much. It was very
adventursume and cool. It was neat because it was based on
a true story. I liked the part wen Doc Holiday twirled the
shot glass pretending it was a gun.P.S.My friend Sunny has
ritten lots of reviews on this site and she's very good at
it.P.P.S.This is my first time.

I can give you two reasons to retell the Wyatt Earp story
cinematically: Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell. I have to wonder
just what kind of film Mr. Hicks enjoys. Not one film he
listed was younger than 1967 - you mean to tell me that's the
last word in western cinema? Oh, I forgot about Kevin
Cosner's Wyatt Earp (which I can't imagine would be able to
top the icy serpentine stares of Russell or Kilmer). I don't
agree that the bad guys are one-dimensional, hissing
villains, either - what about the funny way that Ike is a
total coward underneath all that tough talk, or how Ringo is
so hollow and evil that even Curly Bill is a little
astonished by him sometimes. How much depth do you expect
from western villains anyway - they're not exactly the most
educated or articulate fellows in the world... Anyway,
ignore the nasty man behind the curtain and go see this
movie.

This is my second favorite western of all time, preceded
only by Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The reason
for the remake of this part of western history is to add
some depth and accuracy to former films along this line.

Being somewhat of an Earp/Holliday historian, I can say
that although this film is very entertaining, mostly
thanks to Val Kilmer, it has many historical
inaccuracies. Despite that, the film is riveting, well
acted and entertaining. It's one film I can watch 100
times and never get bored.
