One star for Miss Diaz, who lights up the screen. One star
for the surprisingly sweet romantic undertone. As for the
rest: This film failed my most basic requirement for a
comedy. I found it thoroughly unfunny. Tastelessness is
not humor. Grow up, boys.

Theres Something About Mary is one of the best comedies of
all time! I loved it! I have seen it three times in the
theatre

Got 4 words for you Mr. Vice. "Pull your head out!" Give
me a break. This movie was down-right funny. A little
lesson in reviewing movies 101. Ok, every movie does not
have to be an Oscar nominee. They take something simple
like Mary's brother, who I thought was the greatest thing
about this movie and make mentally challenged a great bit
of comedy sketch. I honestly don't think they were out to
offend people by it, it's just great adult humor. If
you're such a genious on how a movie should be, go make one
yourself you self-righteous hypocrit.

I admit, it takes a certain frame of mind to enjoy this
film. I think the brilliant thing about this movie is with
all of the really disgusting level humor involved, you still
find yourself feeling very bad for Ted and pulling for him,
hoping somehow he can overcome the never-ending
horror beset him and his burgeoning love for Mary. And
Cameron Diaz absolutely drove me WILD!

OH MY GOD!!!
In all my years I have never never laughed harder in a
movie theater! This movie just blew me away, GENIUS I say.
There is nothing like this movie I have ever seen. I
stagered out of the movie in tears , sides hurting, my
pants dripping ,trying so hard to catch my breath, and had
to go back again!
This movie is tops in my book !!!

I didn't laugh once during THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY, and
I was completely surprised at the aridness of the comedy
here. The Farrely brothers' DUMB & DUMBER and KINPIN were
imaginative and frequently hilarious, with an anything-goes
mentality that gave those films some push and
unpredictability.

Here, the writing is really pitiful, with one bad joke after
another thudding and evaporating, with no lingering effect
that something funny just happened. I mean, is it really
that funny to see a man with crutches trying to pick his car
keys up from the floor? How about a lady and dog freaking
out from an overdose of speed? And a fat, mentally-retarded
brother isn't exactly a brainchild of a creation in a
comedy, especially when the same tired jokes are inflicted
upon him. And, while Matt Dillon and Ben Stiller do fine
turns, I didn't find Cameron Diaz to be that fetching here.
She was OK in MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING and merely adequate
in everything else. Her comic timing here is dreadful,
forced, as if she were waiting for the director to tell her
how to react to a punchline or a visual gag. Then again,
she's not exactly working with inspired material here, and
the blandness and overreaching attempts at humor make MARY a
very dull, empty venture.

It was then a pathetic, hilarous and extravagant film that
was made ever! By presenting the scenes that have never
been enjoyed by other viewers, a relaxing integration of
mind just come up to an end!

This is my favourite comedy of all time, i was in stitches
at times. Yeah, some people may not click on to it's
humour, but it(the humour) suit's me to a tee. Cameron Diaz
is as lovely as ever, & all the other character's,
especially Matt Dillion, are fun. You'd have to be a
lifeless bore to not get a laugh or two out of this one, a
classic.

All you other suckers who favor this barf have really
diappointed me. This is one of the fanatical Farrelly's
many nadirs. It's a tossup which is worst, the part in
which Stiller gets his guess what caught in his pants, the
scene with that bunch of faggots by the roadside, the scene
in which Stiller again gets his guess what threatened by
the neighbors dog, or the part with the phony hair
gel(DON'T ASK!!!). A billion baboons with a billion crayons
would be hard pressed in a billion years to come up with
something as awful as this. It's tragic as to how comedy
had plummeted so horribly in the past decade, all shot to
hell by such lugubrious cinematic hate crimes. And all you
idiots who enjoy this disgust certainly aren't helping.

this was one of the funniest movies i have ever seen , it
goes down as one of the best movies ever, today there are
to many comedian actors like ben stiller asnd adam sandler
makking love stories , i thnik actors like that should
make sequels , to these masterpiece movies ,if there was a
sequel to a movie like theres something about
mary ,withTHE ORIGINAL ACTORS, the producers woulds make
millions
