as where Ray Charles turned up as the bus driver. And
Sheridan was such a pleasure to watch as the busty French
agent. But much of the rest here fell flat. Including where
the two thugs dragged Gamble up the stairs, telling him
that these bumps he was getting were for Home Alone,
Getting Even With Dad, My Girl 2, and tells them "But I
wasn't even in My Girl 2!" And he wasn't even in any of the
other films either, it was Macauley Culkin who was. What
Gamble DID star in was the film adaptation of Dennis the
Menace, which was produced by John Hughes, who produced the
Home Alone movies. Another problem was that Griffith got
too little screen time, and there were too few real sight
gags in the background. When Sight & Sound said that the
MAD magazine parody concept had fallen flat, they had a
point. So anyway, about the best thing to see here was
Sheridan as the beautiful Frenchwomen, and it was watchable
to a point, but overall, it was still pretty disappointing,
and as mentioned in the review, Die Hard is parodied in
name only.
