Hamlet, was worth watching, but was rather slow.
be funny, but it wasn't at all. I don't see how anybody
could've liked this movie. It was just horrible and I think
that Tom Stoppard wasted his time writing this book.
most intelligent and witty movie I have ever seen. I have
viewed this movie fifty some-odd times,(I've worn out a
copy)and every time I see it I notice another brillant
element I missed last time.No other movie I've seen has had
that kind of depth of humour and writing.Gary Oldman and
Tim Roth are perfect. It is also Richard Dryfuss' best role.
of Hamlet, but also a philosphical view on life and death.
A search for idenity. The question game was one of the most
brillant pieces in the play. I could watch this movie over
and over again and find somrthing new each time. Thats a
sign of a good play.
pieces from the play. Tim Roth and Gary Oldman were
great. I especially love Tim Roth's reactions to Gary
Oldman's science experiments. However I don't agree that
it was Richard Dryfuss' best role. Not that he wasn't
good, but he's done far better work. The movie is very
very funny. Of course Hamlet is very funny too.
T. Stoppard is genuis, he most intellegent writter and
director ever. If you don`t believe - look for his play
"arcadie"- it's fantastic!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
longing for something with actual depth and substance in
the
apathetic and materialistic world in which we live. Some
may think it a bit esoteric in presentation, but Stoppard's
superb use of diction accentuates the purpose of he work.
The question of the meaning of life is being addressed at
the same time as the mystery of Hamlet's maddness is being
uncovered. The play is worth reading and the movie is
worth
seeing.
I had to be a thriller or something. But I was very
surprised when I actually saw the movie. It is a movie you
can think about and you can laugh about without being
"wacky" or stuff. I liked "Hamlet" with Mel Gibson very
much
and I am a big fan of Shakespeare and I must say, I think
he would have liked that movie, because of it's
intelligent plot. I am just sad, that you can see a movie
like this maybe once a year on TV.
because they tried to do kind of double-acting. But it was
kind of a childish movie and I did not like it Hamlet was
much better.

understand if you know Hamlet pretty well. So
unfortunately, very few people will actually fully grasp the
whole idea set by Stoppard. Still I find the play a bit
confusing, but I'm only 16, so what do I know?
