that Van-Damme Has ever made wasn't screened for the press.
In fact, whenever a film of his isn't screened for the
press, it's a sign that it's ten times worse than those
that are. This film is one of those. It's alternately dull
and laughable, and the even the fight scenes are pretty
monotonous and lethargic. I felt sorry for Moore's having
to take up a role as underwritten as that of the pirate
captain, and I certainly hope he was well paid for wasting
his time in this borefest. In fact, I noticed something
here that plagues a lot of Van-Damme's other movies as
well: sentiment that's so fake, it's irritating. And that's
another one of the things that makes this movie a sinking
ship. If you want real martial-arts pleasure, I suggest you
go watch Enter the Dragon. If there's any film that can
provide excitement that doesn't require deep thought,
Dragon does it the best. As for Van-Damme, let's hope his
first attempt at directing will be his last. With this
film, he's only proven that he's as terrible a director as
he is an actor.
has a different mind to any other directer he's some one
very special. he's so fit and sexy in that movie all i like
to say is "van damme keep the good work up"
lots of love roma.
