Ok.. ok.. this movie sux! But does that mean that I can't
enjoy it? I loved Problem Child 2! Although it's nowhere
near as good as the original, I still love it for the
hilarious performances of Laraine Newman, Jack Warden and
newcomer, Ivyann Schwan. The main problem with it, was
it's inept script. Perhaps if they had used less dog
humor, and more genuine funny moments (like in the
original), this movie would've been more successful. The
original was so much better! Junior was adopted and he
wreaks havoc in several situations (campsite, baseball
game, department store, birthday party, to name a few)
whilst also managing the fact that the convicted criminal
he's been writing to has broken out to see him. My
synopsis is pretty terrible.. but it was so much better
than the story in this, which simply involves Junior and
his dad move to Mortville where he meets his match, Trixie
and together prevent Ben (Junior's Dad) from marrying money-
hungry Lawanda (Laraine Newman). ARGH! This movie is soo
lame in comparison.. it is better than Problem Child 3 tho,
which completely ignores the ending of Part 2, which I
won't spoil 4 ya. I do give it 2 stars tho, for providing a
few laughs and for some good performances. I particularly
enjoyed Ivyann Schwan.. so much in fact that I made a
webpage on her - czech it out and let me know what you
think - http://www.charisma-online.com/ivyann
Anyway, Problem Child 2 will entertain, but you can't take
it seriously. I still recommend Part 1 tho.
