If you have not yet seen this movie, what are you waiting
for? My friends and I have named this our favorite movie and
watch it at every get-together! I would recommend this movie
to everyone, especially to Tim! (<3 ya!) It contains all
the essensials to a scary movie! This is an outstanding
movie, and it deserves more than 1.5 stars! If you haven't
seen it, go rent it today! After you see it, you'll be
hooked! I'm living proof!

I think Pet Sematary was a great movie. In my opinion Pet
Sematary was brilliant. With a writer like Stephen King,
this movie had intelligence behind it and it is the best
movie i've ever seen.

And I think that this is one of the worst movies ever made.
What's really depressing is the thought of how many people
flocked to see this movie a decade ago, including the
dumbells who've seen it today, who must be brainwashed
zombies just like the ones in this film, just like the ones
who made it, just like Stephen King himself. It's about
time his perverted horror novels were pulled from the
shelves of all bookstores and replaced with books like the
Last of the Mohicans and Moby Dick instead. If there are
any parents out there who know that movies like this are a
bad influence on children, then I strongly suggest that you
get both the novel and movie removed from all book and
video stores immediately. Now!

Pet Sematary was an "alright" movie, however there were
many
parts that were changed (obviously) from the printed
format.
the book was so much better, but the movie was pretty good.
at least you get the basic idea about what the book is
about. i think this movie was ok, but they could have made
it abit more interesting. it wasn't "scary" at all.

THE FIRST TIME I SAW PET SEMATARY. I THOUGHT THIS ISN'T
SCAREY AT ALL! IN FACT, IT IS COOL! NOW I'VE GOT MY OWN PET
SEMATARY IN MY BACKYARD. DO NOT WORRY THESE PETS DON'T COME
BACK....!!!

First of all, did that Critic Even PAY
ATTENTION to the film? Asking questions in which were
answered within the film... Aparantly no one really has the
right considerational Respect for cinema and literature!
Instead I keep reading these DUMB reviews from those whom
portray their opinions rather than an Objective
overview...

I've read the book, and I OWN the movie >:P that's right, I
understood it enough to actually call it one of my
Favorites!!! But I guess most are too DULL to get such a
story through their heads... Hell, I saw this film back
when I was 9 (1989), what was the problem? Were people
actually frightened by it as to demean its creativity?

then we have these USELESS CRITICS who THINK they know
better about cinema (Here's my Advice to ALL of them: MAKE
a movie of your own if you're the experts!).

People complain that this feature "Pet Sematary" hasn't
followed the root of the novel. But, The screenplay was
written by THE WRITER HIMSELF... The artist has overall
control of their own art, therefore, who are the Viewers to
dictate otherwise? (This I can point out, seeing as how
I've gone through the same with my works).

Do people watch movies only to complain about them? Where
the hell is the respect? where the hell is the Intellect?
If a film offends you because of the storyline, such as the
artistic gore - which is art, then I guess they achieved
something huh? But you, the viewer, are nothing but a puss.

You dislike a film? make one yourself! You're an expert on
everything within novels and movies? then by all means,
show us your skills!!!

nothing but hypocrits...

PS: for those "FANS" who hated the film because it "didn't
follow the story". just read between the lines, every movie
based on a book is a CONDENSED picture of that imagination.
You can't expect EVERYTHING to be placed on screen. So why
not accept it? At least you get to treasure the images in
reading, right?

As for Movie Critics? Get a Life!!!

I thought this movie was just okay. I would have liked to see have seen more gore (I'm a real Gore hound) and I think the film's weak points were actors Dale Midkiff and Denise Crosby. I thought this movie could have been better cast. Fred Gwynn on the other hand and especially little Miko Hughes were really good and made the film's climax the high point of the entire movie.
