Comments about ‘Pebble and the Penguin, The’

Here is an excellent romantic tale that will have children
rooting for the most romantic penguin in the world who is
painful shy and has stuttering speech impediment. Hubie is
an unlikely penguin whose comic flaws makes him more
endearing to the audience and to his love, Marina. The
music by Barry Manilow was great. The duet between Manilow
and Sheena Easton at the end of the film was great. Now
that MGM is lowering the video's price to under $10, I hope
that others will buy the film for their children and
friends who stutter.

I love this movie! It's too cute for words. I know, I know,
as a 17 year old girl I should be drooling over Leo
DiCaprio instead of Hubie, but oh well.

This movie is really sweet, and I love the shy romantic
Hubie. I think there's a lot more they could have done with
it (like given the heroine Marina a little more depth), but
all in all it's a great little movie for kids.
