Yes I give this film the highest rating. The Movie is purly
Lynch but base on another man's insights. I suggest viewing
serveral times to pick up the subtle undertones and
currrents flooding this film. The actors were superb and the
artistic direction was other dimensional.

Better than a "reality" giveme a break who watches movies to get real? The hallucinations provide insight into real paranoia and the true dangers of a non American paradigm , which is as bland as government penut butter and missionary position sex , and compares it with utterly alien information and a more real view of what drives us to fear and Republican politics..

I thought this movie was brillient. I thought it showed
what real drug usage is about. You are taken into another
world.

Very confusing movie, where Peter Weller is playing role of
William Lee. William Lee is actually name of William
Burroughs. Burroughs assumed his mother's maiden name, Lee
and he used this when he released first book "Junky".
Movie is weird adventure between real world and imagination
of William Lee when is on drugs. Burroughs has write book
of same name but actually the film is not following the
book. Film baseline is story of William Burroughs life at
the time when he was writing Naked Lunch. So part of the
movie is just wondering at the visions when Burroughs are
under influence of drugs and part is real life. The art of
this movie really is that can you recognize what is real
and what is not. Maybe Burroughs him self didnt know the
difference when he was writing the book.
It was suprise for me that at the middle part of the movie
where friends of Lee came to visit him to Interzone are
actually in real life Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg.
