about martians invading the planet. The filmmakers
certainly don't disappoint us here. Mars Attacks has some
very funny scenes, special effects that are deliberately
designed to look cheap so that they too will funny, and a
cast full of very good comic actors. And as Jeff Vice said,
there's also a very hilarious and memorable special
effects scene involving Sarah Jessica Parker and Pierce
Brosnan. I had initially thought of describing that scene
and how funny it was, but then, when I saw that Jeff had
decided not to reveal it, I decided to follow his
example and keep it concealed as well. Parts like that are
so funny and memorable that it would be just totally wrong
to reveal it. See it for yourself and you'll see just what
we mean. I really wish that Will Smith, one of my favorite
rappers and comedians, had taken a role here instead of in
the mediocre Independence Day. If he had, I'm sure that Tim
Burton could have written a great role for him, big or
small. And it would have been one of his best roles besides
the one he had in the enjoyable Men in Black.
