I loved "Little Man Tate". I saw it as a child and could
relate with Fred (about being unpopular). I felt that it
moved at an appropriate pace and presented the viewer with
a fairly accurate look into the world of a child prodigy.
The music is also absolutly outstanding! I ranked it at 3
stars (but it's more like 3 1/2 stars). This movie should
be seen by: the gifted child, the unpopular, the
artistically appreciative, those who love Jazz, those who
like happy endings, those who would like to see an unusual
gem of a picture for a change. Hats off to Adam Hann-Byrd
for a remarkable performance as the sensitive, unusual
genius (yes, he is vastly different even from the other
child geniuses). He perfectly fits the role of Fred Tate
and it is a pleasure to watch this little kid act!
