I just have one question. was the cook on the soviet sub a
special agent sent by the soviets to ensure that the
mission would go as the Soviet government planned. because
I did not see any story or info about why the cook betrayed
ramius. I may have just missed it or something but I knew
little about the cook's actions.
I think it was the best movie about a submarin in the whole
entier world :-)
I thought that this movie was great. The soviet anthem went
right along with the movie and the characters couldn't have
been any better. This movie I give four stars.
Absolutely deliteful.
I can watch this movie again and again. And I do.
I would have liked to seen how the SRV was brought to the
site and attached to the Dallas.
The Sonar man for the Dallas was exceptional in his job of
tracking.
i am a woman and i enjoyed it very much, scott glenn was
great, but he never seems to get enough credit. people in
the movie business pick who they want and we have to go
along with it. have you noticed when they ask you to pick
the best movie or actor, that they have already narrowed it
down to the three or four that they picked and we have to
choose from them. it should be like american idol let us
vote. you might be surprized.
Make that *** 1/2. A superb adaptation of Tom Clancy's
first novel, the film actually improves the book in some
ways. This is primarily due to the source material, the
sets, and the cast. The only flaw of the film is the
script's conclusion which seems a little rushed.
Considering the way director John McTiernan handles the
tension, an extra 15-20 minutes or so wouldn't have hurt
the film.
This movie was one of my favorates. It captures the story
of a Russian Captain and his crew. It has many exciting
moments, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. With high
tech nuclear weapons, it is quite cool. Mother Russia!
