From early reviews I read about this movie, I deducted the leading lady ran off with the leading man (Redford). It was refreshing to see her go back to her husband, even though I would have liked to see Redford come out the winner. I found the action a little slow, but maybe that's Montana. Four stars for sure!

Certainly a film that enhanced the weaknesses of the book and left you satisfied over a trifold storyline of a horse, a girl, and a mother that must come to grips with their current problems. In the movie, they even give the husband a personality that makes you appreciate the ending even more. Redford has crafted a cinematic masterpiece again and should be included a few oscar categories. The fact that the two main stars never have an actual affair (they share a slight kiss), again strengthens the endin

It was refreshing to walk out of a show calm and happy.
This show was definately one I could see many more times.
I can't wait for it to come out so I can buy it! When does
it come out on video?

Much better than the book. The animal story in the book was
great! I hated the love story in the book. The movie showed
much more character and strength of character for the female
lead and her husband. Great acting on part of all.

Robert Redford has skillfully woven together in this
inspiring story a sweeping Montana scope and the close
personal intimacy of tender humanity and romance. Love and
care for an injured horse transposes to care for broken
hearts and lost ways. Just as the horse is carefully
brought to trust again, those involved in it's life make
the
difficult transition from recrimination and denial to
acceptance and understanding. Many seem to have been
disappointed with the unexpected ending, which I found more
descriptive of true life than a romanticized ending would
have been. Highly recommended! Smiles!

It was a beautiful movie and a beautiful story and the
accident scene was one I still can't forget, but I think
I'm too young to really appreciate the romance.

This movie was horribly boring. Any good traits are
irrelevant if you can't stay awake during the movie.
