although I have no idea what to think of the complaints the
southern Baptists have about this movie's use of apparent
paganism. My reasons for panning this dud are that it
features a very bad role model for girls, in the form of
Meg. The character is all too obviously resemblent of a
prostitute, which is in very poor taste. And this film is
yet another one of those Deplorable Disney films that's
contemptuous of women.
This reminds me, if it be of interest to anyone, be warned
that new Dismal Disney cartoon, the Emporer's New Groove,
is also very anti-women, just like this and plenty of other
Disney cartoons, because it features a women in the role of
a villianess, and in this case, an evil sorceress. There,
that too, like Hercules, is worth avoiding.
Let me also add my thoughts on the advertisement for
Hercules: do you know that the artists did a good job at
drawing him to look as if he were embarressed while holding
up his name logo? Wow. It's what he should be anyway.
made! It has laugh out loud humor all the way through the
movie and it also tells you that you can acheive your
dreams if you try hard enough!
