light romantic comedy's. A weekend rental, chosen because
I wanted lighter fare to view, after the serious film I
watched first, I was very charmed by this movie. Andie
McDowell and Gerard Depardiu, (I hope I spelled that
correctly) have the ability to make a largely formula
comedy/romance into a joy and pleasure to watch, making us
care about their relatively minor 'problems' and their
choices to solve them. I was amazed at their chemistry,
and their abilities to makes us care whether or not they
were successful in conning the INS, and the outcome of
their 'courtship'. The soundtrack was amazing in the way
it supported the storyline and the emotional build-up of
the plot. All in all, a well rounded, well acted, well
thought out, 'ordinary' romantic comedy that I enjoyed
watching very much, despite the ambivalent ending. I would
recommend it when you're in the mood to curl up on the
couch and lose yourself in a fantasy. Yoyo
liked "greencard" good story , good acting by the french
dude i forgot his name... but he was really good in this
movie thats why i give it 4 stars
