Casablanca

favorite films of all time, this film has everything: a
good story, some gunplay, romance, witty dialogue,
political machinations, and, most importantly, excellent
actors in the cast. Humphrey Bogart is superb as Rick, the
owner of a night club in Casablanca who "doesn't stick his
neck out for nobody". He is forced to reevaluate his
morals when a former lover (Ingrid Bergman) arrives in
Casablanca in the company of her Czech husband, Victor
Lazlow (Paul Henreid). The Nazis are hot on their tail
because her husband is the leader of an anti-Nazi
resistance movement. Claude Rains steals the show as
Captain Renault, the French military governor of Casablanca
who, in his words, is "just a poor, corrupt government
official", but must walk a fine line between his Nazi
supervisors and his friendship with Rick. A must-see film
for everyone.
Every time I watch it, I am completely captivated by every
line said by every character in every scene. What it must
of been like to have seen it when it first came out during
WWII!! This is a film that everyone needs to see. Watch
it...enjoy it. They don't come like this anymore!
Bogart in about anything he did. Claude Rains did a superb
job in his role as did Paul Henried. I have praises for
the whole cast, but suffice it to say Casablanca was
unequalled in casting, screen play and acting.
I never tire viewing it.
