I have become embarrassed as of late to tell that I was
once part of all the "Bradymania" during my childhood
years. As a kid, when my family lived in Philadelphia, I
would often sit around our house and watch HOURS and HOURS
and HOURS of old Brady Bunch episodes(Channel 55 sometimes
showed 2 episodes back to back), and today I think it safe
to say that I have seen all 117 episodes of the TV show and
that I never want to have to see it again, I'm so fed up
from it. Do I have to tell anyone about the pilot episode
where the family dog, Tiger, caused chaos at the wedding
ceremony while chasing a cat? Or about the episode where
Jan almost lost a locket when she looked out her bedroom
window to see a little bear? Or about the episode where
Bobby accidentally dyed Greg's hair orange?("Oh, no!
Tommorrow's graduation and I've got orange hair!") Or that
Robert Reed considered that episode to be so dumb that he
initially refused to appear in it? Nope, nope, and nope. As
of today, I have come to realize that that show was
lamentably dumb as anything, and that's all the more reason
why I'd like to avoid it today. This movie is even worse,
and if anyone who's still addicted to such balderdash was
willing to ignore all the smutty ideas here just to watch
it, then that's one of the world's ultimate mysteries. The
movie is so crass and stupid that it's not even suitable
for family audiences. Even the idea of having the Bradys
behave as if this were still the 1970's fell flat. What
made the writers think that the Bradys didn't know about
many of the problems as depicted in this movie, including
such disgusting subjects as fags? These subjects were quite
well known, even in the 60's and 70's, they just didn't
talk about such things on family geared sitcoms. If you had
to know about such things, you would just watch about them
on adult TV shows like Marcus Welby M.D, M*A*S*H, Maude, et
cetera. As far as I'm concerned, this movie, with all it's
crude sexual humor and other stupidity, marks the nadir
of movies aimed at the family. Oh, and the movie's plot,
we've heard it all before. At least Shelley Long, who made
a big mistake leaving Cheers for this smut, is lucky not to
have too much screen time. This movie fumbles even more
than the potato sack race and if any parents are reading,
then they are strongly advised not to let their kids
anywhere near such a dumb smutfest.

The Brady's are really happening in a far out way! I think
Jan is super cool. As I'm am to a middle child and totally
related to the voices in her head......or was it my head?

I liked this movie and saw it several times. I guess I'm
naive and didn't get the crude innuendos. I thought it was
cleverly done and hilarious. The Monkees were even in it.
And they had the teachers drooling over Davy Jones while
the students had no idea. FUNNY!!!!
