I love this movie. It is the best movie of all times. It is
also really sad because Ricki gets killed. It also taught me
a lot about gangs. Cuba Gooding JR was a great actor in this
movie. I think that there should be a Boyz N the Hood part 2
keep up the good work

The film Boyz-n-the-Hood is tremendous...Is is dramatic
portrayl of the harsh realities that young black men face
in the Ghettos of American Cities. I believe that all
people white, balck, red, and blue should be show this
film. It is a film about life in America. It goes to show
that the US dosen't shine from sea to shining sea. There
are many issues that need dealing with from poverty and
racism.......INCREASE THE PEACE

I remember when i first saw this movie in 1996 i think it
was on HBO,I thought it was a very powerful and inteligent
film.Even now i watch it like once a month because i find
it so interesting and important.Cuba Gooding Jr does a
great job playing Trey in this story and so does Ice cube
playing Doughboy.A tremendous masterpiece.

A brilliant film!! The most powerful message is how
self-hatred and self destructiveness leads to so much
waste and ruined potential.

The charachters are so damn real, you become personally
involved with them!! I love the role of Furious Styles,
because he refutes the stereotype of the irresponsible
father. There are probably a hell of a lot more men like
this than we realize, and this film makes it a point to say
this!!!

The music captures the mood of the film perfectly!! It's
one of my favorite movie soundtracks!!

I've seen this film probably a dozen times over the years,
and it never fails to move me deeply.

i first saw this movie in 1993 and have seen it so many
times. The movie is so emotionally realistic and learnative
as I never have been to the USA.I {we aussies} never knew
that this was or is still real life in the big USA.
The actors were all really in touch with the real world
as they would have all grown up in one.Overhere there are
no
drivebys or gangwars,so in conclusion this film really
opened my eyes of everyday life of african americans.
i hope movies like this are made more widley so people
around the world can see what USA teenagers go through.
I really like the movie and I hope there will be a part 2.
......peace be with all :}

It's tragic to realize that even though that movie was made
close to a decade ago mainstream suburbia still refuse to
look at urban world warIII that is effecting so many youths
that don't chance in life even before theirs get started.

Boyz N the Hood is John Singleton's best film, a
powerful and unfliching look at misguided inner city
youths. I don't get why everyone says this is a "hood"
film, I know I could relate to many of the characters in
the movie. Bluntly put, it's brilliantly done, and portarys
a
powerful anti-violence message that should prove
resonant for all races.
